This weekend we ended up in the Lewes Canal Fishing for Flounder with Live Bait. The preferred bait of choice was fresh minnows attached to some very unique rigs.

I have actually fished for Smallies in the Columbia river, super clear great visibility. live bait always seem to work best, that keeper you guys had was nice. That incoming tide is always death when you are fishing inshore.

My best bet was always using minnows dragging a double rig in the bay(s) off OC and DE.

Correction: The little minnow is a sheepshead minnow and the larger is a killifish or mummichog (very hard to tell the two apart)

LHM said there were 600 entrants. Probably 200 boats. It was mayhem at the ramp Friday morning.
