When I was in 7th grade four years ago, the second steelhead I ever lost was way over 20. I have it on video of it coming to the surface. It spit the hook, likely because I was using a bead. Still haven't encountered a fish like that since.

Hooked into a monster last season on my 3rd cast of the day using spawn sacs I made. Got 4 big head shakes and he went berserk. Had him stuck through all the tail walks and summersaults. Seen it was a hatchery as it ran past my legs and seen it was pushing 20 lbs. I had my heart racing as it ran back downstream. He then stayed in place and I could not move him for what felt like a minute. He then turned and the hook popped out. Just like that I went from a huge high to the biggest heartbreak I've had in fishing.

And a couple weeks before I thought the low water was my enemy. At the tailout of next to the confluence I missed a bobber down with both mt setup at 2' , then I watched that chrome hen move up the inside of the hole in front of me. Saw it all. She was a hatchery (not that I care at all I could just see) . It was super cool. When you walk I'll see ya!!

Hooked a huge Chinook when I was alone in my boat last fall. The hen was so big she wouldn't fit in my net! My boat is 64" wide, this fish nearly stretched the width of my boat. One the fourth attempt I was finally able to half swing it in the boat using both the net and rod but as soon as she hit the deck she flipped about 4ft into the air, slapped the rail of the boat. As soon as she hit the water, my line had wrapped around the tip of my rod on the lift, my line snapped and she was gone 😭

11:25 bead in front of jig??
@disillusioned070 Жыл бұрын
I don't think so. It just looks like a 1/4 oz jig with the two bead body and marabou hair. Maybe a little flashabou mixed in.
