My buddy and myself fish Sabine River from niblets Bluff in vinton all the time and get skunked a lot

In that area try fishing the dead end canals where the current isn’t in them. Or if you can find current with slack water on points that’s good to try. Definitely come a little more towards the marsh. I tend to do way better below I-10 vs north of there

If you ever want to go crazy just don't fish all winter or spring, it will make you want sell your reels give your baits away and trade your truck n boat for a motorcycle so you won't be thinking about going every day........ats bad now lol glad to see you catching them 👍

😂😂😂😂 having to adjust to dad life has slowed my fishing down a ton and I can relate some. Can’t wait until he’s old enough to come with me then it’s on every weekend! Thanks man! In the next Sabine video I really whack them!

Do you ever fish Sabine Lake, the icw and jetties etc for trout and reds? I could use your expert level advice in that fishery because all I catch are gafftop.
@lanceduff2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I do. Sabine is a better fishery for reds and flounder. It’s not all that great for trout. I’ll get on a few trout every now and then but they’re really few and far between. The reds are around the marsh drains or you can catch them under the birds. Most of the specks are basically around the rock levees and south of the big bridge. Light house cove is the best place for trout around our area. East bay and Trinity bay is definitely where to fish for trout. My best say 5 baits for this area is a pearl white Shadnasty swimbaits tipping the tail chartreuse, a chrome blue echo 1.75, a pink n gold 1/2oz bill lewis rat l trap, a chrome torpedo and a gold spoon. Those are always tied on anytime I go to sabine. 99% of the time they’ll get me results.

@@lanceduff Thanks Lance Duff. I’ll let you know when I finally get a keeper red in the area! If you ever offer guided trips please let me know.

@@biodot88 anytime bud! Good deal! Definitely do. I don’t guide right now but that could change in a couple of years. I’m Really considering it. I’m gonna do a contest here soon where I’m gonna take someone fishing at my big bass lease. The lease backs up to some amazing redfish areas! I’ll have the contest video up here soon! You’ll definitely want to get entered!

Towards the end …it looks like Burton’s ditch but the first canal looks unfamiliar
@lanceduff2 жыл бұрын
That very first canal was the burn out bridge canal across from Simmons boat ramp. At times that place has some dang good fish in it.
