The tenkara fishing video is wonderful, but the nature scenes you have produced are very beautiful !

Thank you so much! It's my favorite part of being out there!

Such elegant and beautiful trout. Even before that rumble of thunder, the saturation of the greenery suggested you were fishing in monsoon season. Thank you for another wonderful angling adventure!
@FlickyFlies9 ай бұрын
Dealt with monsoon storms every day during this 4 day visit, but it's always fun hearing those rumbles, even if they stop the fishing a bit too soon. Thank you Michael!

That forest and creek looked so refreshing! The pretty cutthroats are just the icing on the cake!

Absolutely - such a lush place for Colorado. Reminded me a lot of some videos I've seen from Idaho.

@@FlickyFlies yeah I’d say so as well! Between the forest and the colors of the water, it looks like you could have been there.

One of the prettiest places you have fished. Scenery was unbelievable and the fish were absolutely gorgeous. Love how you interleave the wildlife into your videos. Looking forward to your next one. Thanks so much.

That's a big statement considering some of the places I've been lucky enough to see!! I agree though man, such a lush little canyon, and I liked how small the creek was, yet with deep enough pools ... and that aqua green crystal clear water. Shoot, maybe you're right! Thanks for watching as always.

Greetings from the BIG SKY. I found a small creek in Colorado Springs near the Garden of the Gods that was full of cut throats, also. Found it with a frisbee on Rampart Range road.
@FlickyFlies9 ай бұрын
Awesome! I haven't really explored that area too much. Sounds lovely! When you say with a frisbee do you mean like "within a throws distance from" etc?
@rogerdudra1789 ай бұрын
@@FlickyFlies How far can you throw a 144 gram tournament master frisbee? The throw I was after got caught by the wind and blew down a steep rock slide which I chased to a creek where I saw a bunch of fish dart suddenly. I'd fish it frequently and give the 'house cook' the fraternity had several 10 fish limits of very fresh brook trout and cut throat trout.

@@rogerdudra178 Hah! I read ya. Very cool. I've actually never driven that road ... I'll add it to the list.

These videos are ones which you want to LIKE within the first 10 seconds. I know they are supposed to be fly-fishing-centric, though I greatly appreciate you sprinkling-in some all-natural footage, especially in the middle of this Winter. I like the way a Cutthroat's pattern of spots looks like a fast current moved them from front to back, and that some of the spots just fell off of the tail and drifted downstream.

Thanks so much Mitch! Hope you know how much I always enjoy reading your comments! They always make me smile, laugh, feel appreciative ... sometimes all at once. Thanks man.

You really knocked this one out of the park with your camera work Chris! After the first minute I thought I'd stumbled into a Kraig Adams production. Those were some of the most beautiful cutthroat trout I've ever seen. What an awesome place and amazing experience. Thanks for sharing it. Those TRC guys are certainly getting their money's worth out of you.

Kraig Adams is an inspiration of mine. Planning on continuing with these vibes as I film into the new season. In fact, a lot more hiking / cooking / camping and some more relaxing videos in general with even more natural b-roll. I wanna lean into that side of things since that's what I truly love. Along with some fishing, of course!! We'll see how it goes :)

Thank you! The Tenkara Rod Co. "The Yari" - Sold out now, unfortunately, but if you can find one used I'd definitely reccomend it. Bit of fiberglass in the blank, so much fun for small to medium sized fish.

Oh for sure!! That perfect pocket water where tenkara just works best. I will say though, some of those flatter pools towards the end of the video could have used a longer rod or a lightweight fly rod. Much lower gradient and quite spooky fish.

exactly. that's why we carry longer rods. I always carry my 17' Suntech. @@FlickyFlies

When you capture video of the fish while in the net and on the release, are you using your go pro? Phone? Or tripod camera?
@FlickyFlies9 ай бұрын
Mixture of phone and big camera tripod. Phone if my camera is far away, tripod camera if not. I'll set my net down in the water, propped against some rocks to make a livewell of sorts while I grab the big camera.
