Fishing in Mauritius 2018 part 1

We went to Mauritius for fishing, and visit our friends. We tried fly fishing, kayak fishing (mostly jigging) and trolling after the big fish.

Hi. Nice video. Could you tell me how general is the situation with flyflishing? Any chance for GT of blue fin travelly? I am asking as read that some time local people killing all fish they could caught.

Hi. Its not many fly fishers in Mauritius. I couldnt see anyone. I didnt see any big GT or blue fin travelly either. But i catch two very small travelly, and my friend was catching a bigger travelly last season. I think many local people fish for food.

Hi Etienne. It is so many good spots. I was fishing on South and West side. But it is also many good places on the East. Near Amber Is or Ile Aux Cherf should be good on the east. Between Pointe aux Roches and St Felix Public Beach, and the public beach in Balaclava. I also fish at the beach on Ravenala hotel.
