do you guys really release every single fish ? You gotta eat too
@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
Haha nah mate we keep fish on every trip. Our style is to keep the injured ones and between all of us spinning 10 hour a day over a week there's always a few fish that when they come in we can just tell they're not going to live so they become dinner! It's usually, a smaller fish that's hooked badly but sometimes it's a bigger fish that gets bitten in half by a shark, so a few times we had to eat a tonne of meat in one day (like 10kg of Mackerel) because no esky and shark ate the other half! This film talks more about why we release most fish - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5jZeYierdF_rJo

@comeatmebro32297 жыл бұрын
i was gonna ask this aswell, like if you gill hooked a tuna and its spilling blood its not gonna live so would be a waste to release. loving the vids :) wish we had this fishing in SA but big snapper, mully's and sharks can be fun too, unfortunately we have to use bait but you gotta do what you gotta do to catch fish and feed the addiction.
@thecommentor83847 жыл бұрын
DJ Migs it's never a waste. If the sharks don't finish them off the crabs and occys will. When fish end up at the rubbish dump, now that's a waste.

Man you guys capture the addiction so well in this video! Love the beginning where you are just grinding at work in the heat (the video is colorless indicating that you are there but not there mentally, just thinking about fish that passed, fish to come, and fish that got away) Can feel the buildup of the anticipation. Awesome awesome job! Quick question: The rocks you guys are on seem to have good barnacles for grip, but are you wearing plain old tennis shoes? Thats nuts haha!
@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
Yeah bro that's awesome you picked up on the subliminal vibes I was going for in that working section! There's actually an old vid about our shoes kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnPTqZSdrbxrm7s they're pretty grippy if you're on dry rock or barnacles like you say but on wet smooth stuff you'll go for a slide for sure!

MorningTide Fishing I can't understand how you guys only have 29k subs you guys need to have at least 300k plus subs but I love your videos keep it up, you put so much effort into the editing it's like a movie 👌👌👌
@MorningTideFishing7 жыл бұрын
Three months ago we had 12k subs and were only growing about 4k a year, but then our "Fishing a Tropical Island" film got picked up by the KZbin algorithm and we've gone up nearly 20k since that! Was a long few years to get that first film picked up but now that YT knows we exist it looks like it's just a matter of time for the channel to grow. When we get to the point where we can do this full time we'll take the films to a whole other level but really stoked you froth on them as they are mate and thanks for the kind words!

Cheers mate, pretty sure it all comes down to KZbin's Algorithm... In the last three years, we've had just one film picked up by their code and it only happened a couple months ago. We went from 200 subs a month to 4000 - 6000 and it's all because a computer decided that this one film (Fishing a Tropical Island) should be shown to people haha. Kinda does our head in that our success is in the hands of a program, but now that we have one film 'in the system' we're growing pretty fast so we're really happy about that! Just painful to convince something artificial that you're worthy of being shown to people haha, I think if a real person could just look at our channel and see how much work we're putting in they would show our films to more fishermen. But it is what it is and we're just now getting somewhere with it so dead set stoked that it's finally kicked in for us!
