I'm just waiting to hear about the Travel Channel calling about having you host a show for them. Great job on the video Nick. I really like Texas history, so I really liked that ending!

Powderhorn Lake is where I go all the time. Great spot! Saltwater lake that ties into Matagorda Bay. Near the La Salle monument and Indianola.

@@danman1287 you are sadly correct, catch & release but it will likely be many years before the water cleans it self up, because no one is going to do it & it is not a priority w/ the state.

@@jerrystephenson1172 I don't Nick n mark knew how polluted the water there were. It's sad the state didn't protect the natural resources or the people there. Formosa incident was featured in a documentary n it was the local residents that drove the investigation not the State of TX. I don't trust TX. Too pro business.

I go every weekend to fish and work and at the Bayfront penninsula park you can catch huge drum using crab late at night

Hey that was a great video. I am from PL if you should go there again. Stop in Point Comfort. Head back North on 35 from Point Comfort just past the Formosa Plant there is a small creek called Kellers Bay on the right you can put in your kayak, there is some great reds in there. Tight lines

Where do you launch your kayak? Where are you fishing? Showing only the catching of fish is nice - more information for novice gulf coast fishing enthusiasts would be nice.

You can eat the fish out of lavaca Bay now? Alcoa poisoned the bay big time with Mercury I think in the '80s. I just saw a documentary about it

Loving these Texas Coastal fishing coverage. Port Lavaca was another area, where used to fish some, particularly as youngster, Course, didn't have kayak, but love your tours of both fish & sites.

I saw you use a manual spot lock on your last fishing trip. I have a sit on kayak and it never occurred to me to use one. I have always relied on a conventional anchor. What a difference it should make I think. One learns a lot by watching your videos. Thanks.
