Great theme music to go with the drone footage. Especially seeing that huge school of drum. You definitely picked the right place to fish that day. That boater didn’t have any respect for anyone around him. That’s sad to see. Keep grinding my friend.

Ive had good success most days. Gotta slow things down, work the conditions. Boater wasnt cool, sadly looked to be a guide boat so hes not new to the scene, I work around it though. 👍

We were there last Friday. Grass was horrible - it’s corn-fusing. I’ve never seen it that bad and I have been there every over week minimum for 6 years. There used to be great sand pockets in there that would hold some tanker trout - we had trouble finding any sand holes Friday.

Yea I think sun piercing that clear water has caused grass to get thick. Theyre still in there on that grass though.

Good stuff bud, those reds were loaded up on that flat. I wonder if that boat that circled you a few times was a guide scouting for a trip and wanted to get the fish shut down so you couldn’t catch them all. Or maybe a tournament guy. That was an odd behavior for sure.

Why not wave over the boater and teach him some etiquette? Simple non combative discussion? I know I would want someone to teach me without yelling at me or embarrassing me.
@Jacemang_Outdoors5 ай бұрын
Lol. Education wasnt the issue, was a guide boat. And those conversations are never seen as "non-combative" as you put it. Your better off carrying on and not stressing about it. Its part of being on the water these days.
@shanefloyd23175 ай бұрын
Yes sir if it was a guide boat that was doing it no conversation is gona change it. He already knows better but with the slick calm conditions in the video he was running around trying to bump up the school. He didn't care that there was already someone fishing there. We need alot more respect out there on the water. Awesome video man and you handled that better than I would have. Although I am slowly learning it's not worth getting mad over. It seems to get worse every year

I kayak fish and fish from a boat and to be honest most of the boat fisherman hate kayakers. Some boaters will intentionally jack up your fishing, those are the facts. I spent 9 months in the coastal bend area fishing and I saw and experienced it.
@Jacemang_Outdoors5 ай бұрын
@@KellyYoung-g3q I dont doubt that is the case for some. Ive seen confrontations go down on the water. We all just trying to enjoy the outdoors, have to be cordial.
