I caught my very first Plaice down off the rocks off north landing way back in 84 at the tender age of 13, my dad filleted the fish & cooked it in the tourer at Thornewick holiday camp. Happy days

Yes indeed, happy days that I fear we or our children will never see again. At least some records such as my film and you writing your memories may survive a while longer? :-)

Hi -- Yes - but what I meant was that it would be great to have them want the full versions of what I have done for instance to show internationally - so what I am saying is I wonder if anyone has ever achieved recognition on here? :-) Possibly not - but its a lovely dream? Anyway - never mind all that - so long as you enjoyed sharing what I put on thats very important, and thankyou for your time to reply. Peter

Yes thanks - such is the wonder of youtube that I / we can share so much with others that would otherwise be lost or never seen - plus even make a few new pals along the way? :-) I wonder if anyone has ever had their films taken up further by sky or such from here?

ooohhh this brings back very happy memories indeed. ... this is where I first started my sea fishing adventures at the age of 10 on the fishing cobbles remember the Scarborough reels and a pot of mussels 3 4 or 6 hours off flamborough head happy days indeed and I still go sea fishing now ... the seventies were great fishing days but sadly not anymore as the grounds have been desimated by trawlers sad but true but thanks for the memories . tight lines everyone.

My pleasure, I am just back from my summer in France and am tempted to take a trip back out - maybe to Whitby - but fear sea sickness these days! :-)

+faith6651 ok pal just been out from Whitby last Saturday and the fishing was very poor me and the lads were very disappointed no cod at all !!!! just Whiting and mackerel but all the boats reported the same . the sea conditions were very calm but constant rain all day will try uptiding now in the winter months weather permitting good luck if you decide to go .... we go to north wales a lot where there is lots of different species give it a try one day on the charter boats you won't be disappointed especially in the summer months as there is tope a plenty . tight lines pal .

Making worthwhile memories and enjoying doing so seems to be what life is about LOL ? :-) I am hiring two cottages in Scotland this summer, taking my small boat and making more and the most of life! :-)
