The red fin pickerel was a pain, i could not find it at the spot you were at however i found on by the lily pads by the walleye spot.

IMPORTANT: If you snap off on the pikeslasher, DON'T put new tackle on and keep fishing. There's something in the game that will not allow you to catch it. I spent 18 days fishing from 9-10pm straight and didn't catch the pikeslasher. I left emerald lake and went right back to it, and sure enough, I caught it the first night. Don't make the same mistake I did.

It works perfectly in rainy days too. Between 07:00-09:00 am and about 9-11 degrees. In rainy days ONLY in the morning. Good luck!!!

On my second night, i was able to catch two of them...one off a feeder and the other off a float, just a minute or so apart, thanks for the help!

I hooked it on a rod i spent like 2k on, and an 8k reel and fought it for like 2, 3 mins then it broke off from stupid low tenison

Broke a reel on my first hookup (ran outta line) So I hopped into the kayak, left the anchor up and bobbered it. Fish towed me for a bit, nice and easy landing. Anchors up, folks.

you need to not be reeling in line when a fish is maxing your drag, let it run and the reel when it stops. if you reel while it is pulling line it will be able to pull more line than if you weren't

Ive been tryna do the mission with a match rod. Arent we suppose to use a telescopic or a match rod?? Feeders are good to use for this??

Well nvm. I guess if i have match rod with bait on it and catch it with a feeder it should work as well since it tells me to equip bait to certain rod. Also first cast with feeder instant bite and hook but bastard came off cus low tension. Thank you for your reviews they help alot

Yeah as long as you equip some bait to a float rod then you can just go use another rod. I generally did that so I could use my bottom rods.

Can you catch a monster fish with a feeder rod and still complete the mission? Because in the description it says Match or Telescopic Rod

So what I did was just equip the bait to a float rod then used my other rods to actually catch it!

In theory you could put the bait on a extra small telescopic or match rod then use a bottom rod to actually catch the fish it never states to catch it with the match or telescopic rod

Yes but you need the bait to also be on a match rod to progress the mission, then just actually use the bottom rod!

I got alot of bites from something undetwater but the float still not moving to pull my rod i dont know why , im using barbless hook 1/0 ilost more than reward price cuz of the rent of boat and time skip

I had two bottom rods with the same setup you have here, in the water for 2 entire in game days and nights, one sunny and one cloudy and not a single nibble. :(

Just caught mine...did mine off the shoreline...spent 2 hrs on the dock then said fck it what can it hurt to try from the shoreline...within 2 mins the fish hit and got my mission done

I didnt know how big the fish were when i caught it so i used the 30kg net. And because the max single fish weight was 7 kg i couldnt keep the fish. I should have watched this video! Anyways, I got a lot of xp!
