Besides the casting & livebait trolling rigs, can we use saltwater bottom casting rigs for trolling instead of fishing with them only when stationary? I believe that livebait trolling rigs are actually bottom casting ones, but set up in a particular way (headstarter sinker, trolling hook & specific live baits). So, my question is if we can use them without this specific setup for trolling.

If you are the captain and piloting the boat aren’t you going to miss out on a lot of money and xp ?

Don't think so, you just do the circle tacks.

there has to be a reduced bite rate if you throw the lure only 25ft from the boat. That’s like the most unrealistic thing ever, not a single fish in real life would come 25ft away from the boat to bite a lure when a 700 horsepower engine is on.

@@carsforpeople3351 you'd be surprised... trolling for salmon in rivers irl we put them back 35-60 ft... 25 meters doesn't seem too low

@@maaaxxd372 Salmon in rivers is completely different though. You don’t have a huge motor so close to the lure. Also it’s very common to row for salmon instead of trolling since you don’t need a huge boat in a river. In nordic countries most people just row the boat when trolling for salmon.
