Fishing Planet - Trophy Ide on topwater lure at Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, Netherlands.

In this video I am going after some Ide at the Ghent-Terneusen Canal, Netherlands with topwater lure. The easiest way for me was to cast long and use slow retrieves with pauses. One reel, pump, one reel, pump etc. You can change the pace(faster or slower, it's all good) and go with whatever works for you best. All strikes occur between 55 and 30 meters out. I still get strikes without hooking the fish but I always get some common and Trophy Ide. Cheers and take care.

Brilliant, cast full distance to more or less the same spot as you with the exact same walker and a 3lb trophy Ide smashed the lure on the second twitch identical to this vid. You have a new subscriber :)

Cedric, can you cast it far enough? This waterway requires some distance. maybe take longer pause between reeling. Other than that it could be the stupid RNG in the game.

Bulkan I believe you had Lady Luck in your pocket lol... I think from my experience trying to do this over and over and over and over again and just repeatedly fail that this is nearly impossible with a casting rod

@@baddogcustoms7496 My rod only casts to 40 meters, I caught a 1.5 kg @ 36 meters on my first cast.... it works.
