Good work lads, great way to soak up some rays and discover some beach. Know the feeling of struggling to get hooks to stick - its also why I love fishing tailor it seems like a fair fight.

Great to see you uploading again! I must get out with the flicky im rockingham based and on A/L atm. Any recomendations at where to flick some stickbaits? Im using a N.S. Blackhole hurricane 2 9'2 (14g-40g lure weight) with a 4000 size symetre spooled with 15lb j braid.
@kookfishin2 ай бұрын
@@christallowin4046 awesome set up man! Perfect for this sort of fishing. I would start with the beaches south of long point early morning. Casting and walking up and down the beach till you find a gutter holding fish should do the trick. Realistically got till early December till these fish leave for those offshore reefs

heading to dongara next week any tips? (lures,baits,times or any other tips.) keep up the good work mate!
@kookfishinАй бұрын
Cant really go wrong there hey! I would say most important factor would be casting distance from the beaches down there. Cast your lure that has the most casting distance that is around 90-140mm long 🤙
@BKFish4442 ай бұрын
great fishing mate! glad to see some land based content. In your opinion, are lures better than bait for surf tailor? Keep up the content!
@kookfishin2 ай бұрын
Cheers man! Land based is my favourite ahahaha. It really just depends on alot of things. I do think lures allow you to cover more ground overtime but bait tends to almost sway the fish over to your area ahahaha. I think just do what you enjoy more and for me thats casting lures :)

Welcome back to the tube bud 🙌 top day walking the beach with a few fish got to be happy at that, perfect set up for what your doing as well, I have to ask what’s that thing on your reel ( opposite side to your handle ) look forward to the next ✅🎣
@kookfishin2 ай бұрын
Yewww thankyou! Feels good to be back. Walking that beach would be an understatement ahahaha we did so many laps back and forth. Its a reel balancer/stand. Depending where and what brand you buy will label them as either. I use it so when i want to lay the set up down on a rough surface the stand can take the blow and get scratched up instead of my reel

@uriatare9927Ай бұрын
how do you manage to avoid getting your lure stuck on the rocks in the shallows?
@kookfishinАй бұрын
@@uriatare9927 no rocks here bud. But in that sort of situation what we normally do is watch the lure as it is in the air and soon as it hits the water the bail arm is flicked over and a steady retrieval will keep it from snagging. Also using top water lures helps. If there are very shallow rocks avoid using diving lures
