Since you haven’t gotten a new truck yet. Have you ever thought about a sprinter van with camper conversion? Throw your kayak in there and travel to a bunch of states. We wanna see those videos!!!

I think you deserve live scope. You can teach all of us, as you go, how to use it. Appreciate all your work in creating great content.
@jeremyowen12 жыл бұрын
I prefer him fishing without one. If you actually want to learn how to fish, live scope isn't the solution. Live scope takes the skill of fishing and understanding bodies of water and turns it into a video game. Video game fishing. I'd never use anything other than down/side imaging for bottom contours and structure identification.
@btv1676 Жыл бұрын
@@jeremyowen1 I bought one mainly because I'm a nerd. But what I found out was how much you can learn about fish behavior. Especially in open water. Not a video game. You will still get skunked. But what you see on a bad day is the fish following, sniffing you rig and turning away. It's it the presentation? Is it the color? It's it the way your plastic hangs on the jig head. I spent time jigging these quality fish in open water and sometimes moving the plastic forwards or backwards a tiny bit so change the action enough to make them comit to bite. So just like you learn from side imaging about structure. Is it a hard bottom. Is it a tree stump. Or a laydown. Or a rocky point that sticks out where you can't see it from the surface. They are all tools to learn where, when and how to target your favorite fish. You can't poo poo one without poo pooing all sonar. Do you poo poo the hunter that uses a scope or a trail cam to learn his targets routines and behaviors?

I wonder if using a more perch color for swimbaits on the A-rig would have worked better. I would imagine they might be very hard to find, as making a banded soft bait would be difficult. Not even sure if they are made??

So, since you brought it up (I have been curious about this), what's the prep for loading your kayak into the CR-V, like that? Looks like you have some sort of sheet laid down? How do you handle the front passenger seat? I notice the hatch, while not fully closing, closes quite a bit. Can't imagine you travel TOO far like that, especially if it's cold.

just push the seats down and lay some towels over them. I put a pill between the nose of the kayak and the windshield to absorb any impact just in case
