I love being a fisherman in this game haha the entire collection journal is addictive to me. I LOVE a game that keeps track of literally everything. Fishing then making my Sims favorite Fish and Chips meal is also weirdly satisfying 😂

Ryan, what you should do is make a couple, one with gardening and cooking, the other with fishing, and if you can get the cooking to 10, the gardener grows life fruit, and the angler catches deathfish, you get to make Ambrosia and de-age to the start of the Sim's life stage. Once I managed to get that before they finished young adult and they aged themselves right back to the beginning.

idk about TS2 but in TS3 you can turn objects and your camera by pressing "," or "." so once your window is on the wall just click these buttons and then "buy" the window aka place it.

I think you have to have the ambitions expansion to be able to actually have your sim be able to register in skill based careers (painting, fishing, writing, etc)

0:15 Going to stop you right there, the fishing self employed career is the absolute worst money maker for time. The only way to complete it is to learn the bait for alley cat fish, angelfish, and death fish. Then spend hours catching catfish with cheese to use the catfish to catch angelfish to then use the angelfish to catch death fish in the middle of the night for a couple hours. Not doing that it is impossible to reach level 10 of the angler career before dying of old age and that's with catching fish as a child to sell as a teen once the career started. The sell price of fish is just too low and takes hours to catch. Most self employed careers take about a month to complete with painting being the easiest since there's no downsides but not fishing, the only fish worth selling is death fish. So I made a mod that adds a 0 to all the fish min and max prices for an all self employed career legacy and it was then closer to the time to complete as the rest of the careers. Now if you want a money maker self employed... gardening is the best. Grow your usual crops for food or money starting out, get a life fruit and plant it. Once harvested plant 1 more and dispose of the original, repeat until it is perfect. then have a garden of just perfect life fruit that takes about 6 hours to tend, surrounds a couple sprinklers. Have 1 garlic plant for fertilizer and buy some garlic until the plant starts producing. ~6 hour workday, easy $10k per day. And again use garlic for fertilizer, not fish. Starts slow ends with a bang.

While I respect your opinion, I disagree completely! Fishing is one of the easiest skills to max out, because you can easily get massive boosts in skill increase when you catch fish of a higher level than you actually are, by using bait. I recently completed a fishing playthrough, and I got maxed skill within the first week, maybe 5 days. Catching perfect alley cat fish is simple, since they are a lvl 1 fish, you can buy cheese at the store and get perfect alley cat fish once you reach around lvl 5, which is when you can start using live bait. Then start fishing for piranha and angelfish, which are bait for robotfish and deathfish respectively. Within the first week you should be catching both, and by the second you should be able to catch perfect versions of both robot- and deathfish. Perfect deathfish sell for around 1500 a piece, so in one night (maximum 5hours since that is how long the deathfish are available) you could make 9000 simoleons per night, and you can double it if you sell it in the consignment shop! And that is before adding the robotfish sale! Gardening is also great, but I would think the moneytrees are WAY more effective than the lifefruit, since you don't need to replace them, they automatically become perfect as long as you keep harvesting them, they spawn their own seeds when they reach perfect, and if you keep them indoors with the ITF grass carpets, they can be kept year round! With the science skill you can analyze uncommon/rare/special seeds to find out what plants they are (if you don't have the gardening station from the store). You might even be able to clone the moneytree seeds on the science station, although I haven't tested this one, so I don't know if that is true! Biggest problem with gardening is the fact that it can take about a week for non-basic plants to grow, which means you rely heavily on the wild harvestables until you reach that point. Not very reliable in a challenge where you start with zero simoleons, especially if season are active, because you effectively have a timeline to make an indoor garden, otherwise you have no income for 7 days or more, depending on when you start getting freezing temperature. At least with fishing, you can maintain some income even during winter, by fishing in the ocean for angelfish or lobster
