I bend my hooks out just enough that when you run your finger across its back the hooks barley catch you finger. Since I started doing that my hook up rate has improved significantly on a frog! Love the videos man!

The plug hook is actually a small frog hook. A lot of small or "finesse " frogs have smaller frog hooks or so a couple buddies & the interwebs have shown me. So much wild fishing tackle out there.

Definitely love the choppo! I’ve never used a popper, mainly bc I’ve just recently got back into fishing. That being said I caught my first bass on a frog at the beginning of this month, I was hooked on the frog after that. Keep it it brother!

Torpedo is one of my favorite top water lures. Little submerged grass or logs work like jerk bait and frog bass can't resist it.

Take the blades of the jitterbug, place both thumbs on the underside of the blades and gently tweak them. I've got mine so it has a louder pop sound than my poppers and it dances beautifully

I have caught hundreds of fish with a jitter bug! The calmer the water, the Better the Jitter bug works. however, watching you with a jitterbug, I have to say the reason it wasn’t working for you is because you were cranking too fast. A slow steady crank will do wonders. Whenever I tie on a new lure, I always put it in the water beside the boat and crank it at different speeds to fine the right speed and the right action. I think you should try the jitterbug under the above conditions. You may just find a new favorite lure.

I want to see a 1v1v1 montauk fall surf casting challenge. Big bass and blue fish schools feeding frenzy, jumping out of the water. Try using your spinner baits as a top water/sub surface. its actually the only way i fish spinner baits. ill switch between running it like a buzz bait to just under the surface while reeling from a single cast. works great in the midwest
