Been out on Thompson lake several times this year so far, no hits no fish. Been marking a crap ton of fish. Any tips or tricks you’d be willing to share? My dads been watching all of your videos !

Best when the smelt run. Water needs to warm. Troll the shoreline by Agassiz Village or Potash cove. Stay in 20-25 feet of water and run a smelt in sinking fly line. Good luck!

Any tips for trolling Thompson?

If you don’t Have downrigger’s right now running about 4 to 5 colors of lead core with a sliding bait harness and either shiner or smelt if you can get them works good. If you want to troll faster with lures anything copper, silver or fluorescent orange seem to work.

Nathan Taft Okuma convector CV20D reel. Eagle Claw Starfire downrigger rod 8’6” medium/heavy rod. Great combo. eBay is best source for the rod. Reels too. Or LL Bean stocks them in Maine.

@@Sebago-Lake-Guide-Services thanks for the info. I have a camp on the north end of Thompson, a few doors down from the outpost. Found my great grandfather's tackle box. Starting to get into trolling
