Damn CAPT, what a job. Had to get that done once years ago on a 23’ walkaround. Thanks for sharing, great job.

Nicely done buddy! What kind of epoxy did you use to coat the tank?
@CaptOrlandoMuniz20 күн бұрын
Thanks! Not sure who makes it. It was applied by the tank manufacturer.

Interesting very interesting. Thanks for the information. What is the product you needed to remove that surrounded the old tanks?oops i guess it was unfinished (yellowish) fiberglass

Going to be doing this to my Pursuit 2870 in the next few weeks. What did you use for the joint seal material? I have used 3m 4200 in the past but it turned black in less than a year. Topside still has some original sealant that is as white as the day it left the factory in 1999! Did you lay the tank in the bilge without any type of support or barrier? Have seen other videos where rubber was payed down. Any thoughts on this? Thanks for the video!

I’ve always used silicone for the deck seal and it has worked well for me. As far as the supports…..yes, there are pads located under the tanks that provide spacing and allow the foam to flow under and around the tanks. Good luck with your project!

Why silicone and not 3m 4000UV ?
@CaptOrlandoMunizАй бұрын
Silicone works well but I’m sure the 4000 would also work.
