Gomexus Power Knob Installation for Shimano Saragosa Reels

When I bought my Gomexus Power Knob for the Saragosa 5000, the well known online retail site gave instructions about drilling a 3 mm hole, out into a 5 mm hole and cutting, etc. My Gomexus Power Knob fitted perfectly using your simple instructions and I can always replace the original if need be. Glad to hear it. Yeah there are 3 ways to install them but this is by far the easiest and avoids any unnecessary drilling

Who would of thought you could replace handles. I never would have thought about it until now. Made a huge difference to the look much nice than original. Thanks for posting. Let's hope the lock down finishes soon.

Thanks Damian, yeah there is a big growing market for handle replacements nowadays. Some pretty cool looking ones too. I was all geared up and ready to go for 4 days of filming starting this Friday which was all cancelled due to new lockdown. Its been a tough few months thats for sure.

Key detail to prevent play in the knob is to use the smaller diameter bearing instead of the large diameter one closest to the end of the knob itself.

nice job, that knob looks great on that reel. I replaced the knob on my Vanford 2500 with a Gomexus eva metallic red knob and I'm pretty happy with the feel and look, they are very good quality items for a reasonable price. Cheers.

Opps LOL my bad. ill have to go back and correct this. Yeah the old Native watercraft slayer had screw holes on the drive system so you could plug in any railblaza device. Either sounder, or rod holder

Mine still has some play where the power knob meets the base of the handle? Maybe another washer?

Yep 100% i also had the same issue with the Saragosa 6000 took some fiddling with an extra washer or shim, but was fiddley

i bought a 47mm for my 14000 twin power and the screw was one size bigger than the original. i just bout a 45mm and same problem plus there’s a lot of play. i just can’t seem to find the right size

So are the handles a fixed part? Mine is a lefty and I can’t change the fuckin handle to the right side. I replaced my handle with my handle of the Tranx500

You can swap the handle from left to right on all fishing reels, just unscrew the handle and swap them around.

I don't get it. The Saragosa knob is perfectly fine. I've a lot better things to spend money on than the cosmetics of a reel handle knob.

If someone has humongous hands, I guess one of these knobs can help with grip. I, like you, am fine with the original knob.
