I have a sleeping condition and I'm never awake before 12pm... I miss out on so much.. but this year.. I don't care if I have to stop up all night.. I am going to be on the bank with my 83yr old Dad at 8am to fish on a river.. I want to see the earth waking up around us as we are spending the day together trying to catch.. This video is perfect, as I've never been on the river before and I am really looking forward to it.. All the best for 2023 Carl. Superb channel.

Another enjoyable and inspirational video. Thank you. As a boy my favourite was always float fishing on a very slow flowing water. I loved the anticipation of not knowing if and when I would get a bite, and what it might be. The slower pace meant I could relax and enjoy watching nature as it busied itself around me; water voles were still quite common back in the early sixties. I am moving very soon to a place right next to a back water just off the River Great Ouse, so I will be hopefully able to relive some of those boyhood moments again. I look forward to your videos and I hope you will be able to keep them coming during 2023.

here in Italy we float fish in rivers a different way. its called “bolognese” and we use long rods ( from 5 to 9 meters long depending on the depth of the river). its interesting to watch how you do it that is so different from our style. great video btw❤❤
@Louiscare2 жыл бұрын
Same in Belgium, long solid rods are the most common
@fishingwitholeg Жыл бұрын
Same here in Bulgaria, for river fishing we mostly use bolognese rods and since most rivers here are not very big or deep, the most common lenght bolognese rods we use are 5 and 6 meters. I have alot of videos on my channel fishing with those. Ocassionaly there might be someone with even a 7 m rod, but it s very rare in my country.😃

@@fishingwitholegI’d love to see what a 17 - 23 foot rod looks like 😂
@fishingwitholeg Жыл бұрын
@@zootedgoat4641 Well they are nothing too special I have 2 5 meter (17 feet) ones and 2 (20 feet) ones they are a sort of light telescopic ros and they are specifically designed mostly for river and sea fishing. I rarely fish the sea because It s far from where I live so I mostly use them for river fishing and those types of rods are very popular here in Bulgaria for river fishing. If you want to see what they look like check out some videos from my channel.😃
