I agree with both reviews. I was initially excited to watch this movie after my intense wait for its release because I wanted to find out about the crime and what/who lead Patricia to murder her husband but instead I ended up more confused with so many missing facts. Moreover, instead of feeling satisfied, I ended up more frustrated than before watching this long movie that had too much fluff and not enough substances. I rated this movie a 1.5/5 but I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who gave it a poor rating which I believe this movie truly deserved! Mr. Scott must really love his wife who produced this movie & the one who selected the writer. Apparently, it was the 3rd take on the written script to finally start filming this movie after 20 yrs of waiting to get it right. It probably needed a 4th or 5th to get it right!

Hands down the best review thus far. I was expecting a campy romp and I literally fell asleep. Twice. Agree on every beat you hit upon. I don’t understand the praise from the majority of reviewers. It’s like they want to say they like the movie because it’s Gucci, Gaga, and they want to be in with the cool kids. A fantastic opportunity was wasted here.

Judgment freezone, I re-watch this review multiple times a year since the day it was posted. It always leaves me in stitches. I came back to this review after looking at a preview of the film "Ferrari." I am not sure why directors are obsessed with Adam Driver in a "Super Mario" brothers or better yet "what Americans think Italians sound like accent." I think in 2024 the general public is smart enough to enjoy a movie about real life people in the native language of those the stories are based on. Get actors that actually speak Italian to play these roles are make the Americans learn to speak Italian before the film is shot.

I’m wondering did this cast have onscreen chemistry? This has excellent actors. That said, sometimes, it just doesn’t work. At least with The Prince of Tides the author of that book had a say in that movie. That movie worked. This movie didn’t look good in the trailer so I wasn’t sure about it. Now, I know I will wait and watch on HBO or whenever it comes out on tv. Gaga may should stick with music and not attempt acting. I’m not. Saying she has no acting talent but maybe she needs to concentrate on one or the other. Thank you for y’all’s reviews. I trust you two more than most. My problem with most Ryan Murphy productions is he will go so far away from reality and that gets on my nerves. Tell a story but you don’t need to include crazy happenings that really don’t add to the story. I.E Betty and Joan when they had dinner with ghosts or something?

There were so many technical mistakes too in the movie, I cannot believe it. For a production of this level! When they are in Cortina, it's all white, it's snowing and for a fraction of second on the upper right corner of the screen suddenly a tiny blue triangle! And let's not talk about the extras in those ski resort scenes either.....terribly managed! I am astonished I am the only one who noticed that!

It’s crazy how a movie can get various reactions all so different from one another but I guess it’s the beauty of art, it’s subjective. IMO, the movie was great but - I feel as though they wasted time on irrelevant things such as how the relationship between Patrizia and Maurizio started, how they went to Aldo’s birthday etc… I did enjoy seeing how passionate about each other they used to be tho. They didn’t bother adding the birth of P&M’s other child and the whole Tom Ford becoming designer for Gucci should’ve been longer than the 7 mins it was given. I also feel they made Lady Gaga carry the movie and Adam’s portrayal of Maurizio was somehow on point but also lacking some truth… I loved Jared Leto’s portrayal of Paolo but from what I heard it wasn’t truthful to the real Paolo Gucci so I guess they used him for comical relief. I also feel like we were served a lot of old Italian money from the 70’s to 80’s which was gorgeous to see but I agree that the movie lacked colour even tho we need to take into consideration the fact that it was supposed to be in an era where Gucci was deemed “boring old luxury brand” until Tom Ford in the 90’s. I wish they had been truthful about how Maurizio left Patrizia and how Maurizio and Paola lived their love story. Now, I think the trial on it’s own should have been longer if not another part of the movie, because the story is so rich in elements that it’s difficult to fit it all in one movie but it could have easily been a trial centric movie just like movies/series about O.J Simpson, the Menendez brothers and more…
