What are the chances of attaching/fitting a small rod tube on it somehow for a longer hike in?

Very doable with the existing straps or by using the lariat gear straps to secure a tube to the bag: www.avidmax.com/fishpond-lariat-gear-straps/

I just got the Ridgleline backpack and want to secure my San Juan chest pack to the front like you show in the video. I don't seem to have the piece needed to connect it. Can you tell me which strap piece this is or if I can purchase it separately? thx!

We are taking a look at this one...we don't think the San Juan can connect to the backpack like the Canyon Creek can.

Its seem to be always the same problem with those pack ... the hip belt ! Superb pack but no support so you end up carrying all the weight on your shoulder. I wish those fishing company think about that ... nice video tho ✌️
