I love Matt on his own honestly. No slight to MD. They are great together, but it seems like Matt has more creative control on his own. Seems like he went along with alot of stuff MD said just cause it was his space vs a co project. I wanna see them in the future, but for rite now, Matt is doing great. Ps. SHOUTS TO MD for the great content and introducting us to Matt.

I wanted to let you know that I used to be into the aquarium hobby years ago. I had 12 tanks at one time in my life. Watching Matt and you has really motivated me again. I am in the process of setting up a new aquarium, using CO2 to try to grow dwarf baby tears which I have always loved but didn't have the confidence to try growing. Planning to put in white cloud mountain minnows and put them outside in a container aquarium this summer with a lot of moss so that I can enjoy babies, hopefully. Thanks for doing these videos; they have been very inspiring to me in my retirement years.

Excellent video ,and someone like myself who is a complete newbie to fish and fish keeping , i really enjoyed your video, i had no idea you could make a small bowl tank , look so good, i had no idea you could purchase a small external filter ,wow, fish keeping has come a long way from when i was a kid, my Mum had a small bowl fish tank, with gold fish in it , but the fish never seemed to survive, but then again my Mum never had the mod con's , mini external filter and such , you can get today, yes fish keeping has deferentially come a long way, and having watched your video , i am inspired to give it a go, thanks so much for shearing, JC .

Great scape and I'm already getting ideas for my next project... One thing I'd love to see more of Matt is how you hide the equipment - how you place the filtration pipes / heater / any other parts. In my scapes I struggle with maintaining the 'illusion' of an ecosystem with no equipment. I think what you have done here - hiding equipment really well in a SPHERE, where there are no 90' angles or corners, is really talented. I don't know if you'd ever consider having a few minutes of footage where you show how you're putting the equipment into your scape more closely. I'd find it really educational myself. Great scape!

Very cool. Buce are ace plants too: low maintenance and can have a bit of iridescence depending on your lighting. Cost more up front but pay you back by quietly looking good without attention. So good to see them as the plants in a scape! Wouldn’t suit this scape but they mix well with the bright green micro Java ferns too.
@BTQ4109 ай бұрын
I love Buce. Hadn’t worked with it much until recently, but my last tank, a 10 gallon long, I did with a reddish fine gravel, dragon stone and a reddish wood piece laying long ways across the dragon stone. I then added a bunch of different varieties of Buce on the log and stones, then planted some crypts in the gravel and it ended up looking almost like a desert scape with a bunch of dark and reddish plants. I later added some crypt par a to add splashes a green. I then added a big school of the Venezuelan Red Sail Cory’s. Their orange and black coloring stands out. My filter is on one end and they play in the flow all day. I have now added a Turquoise and red betta and some of my blue dream shrimp that were over running my small tank. This is my favorite tank right now. I love that the Buce is fairly slow growing. I really love your crater bowl. This scape reminded me sort of of my Buce scape as they are similar in principle.

@@saltykraken9471 Nice. Change the subject. I am from a time before computers and the Internet. I value books, and I love the heft of one in my hands. I will always love a well researched book, and prefer it to the risk of getting bad information from the Internet. Certainly there is plenty of good information on the Internet as well, and that is why I watch people who do good scaping work their craft. I can't watch that happen in a book. But likewise, there are a great many things in books which you can't get on the Internet. Now if you will kindly sir, take your rabble- rousing elsewhere.
