I can't believe you put pothos on the sorting hat. I love how most of the older/established fishtubers are all burned out, changing their fish rooms into galleries, concentrating on aquascaping... and you just motor along, doing whatever: hoovering the mess you made, untying the cord, running up and down the stairs because you forgot something. You are wonderfully real, thank you for not being all smooth and polished... and premeditated. Gonna love the updates on this tank, beautiful plants. Take care, be well

@@helloaldrian Ryo Wantanabe is moving more in that direction, KGtropicals has had more aquascaping content, Prime Time Aquatics is remaking their fishroom and focusing more on aquascaping with Small Scapes, Tazawa Tanks seems to also be moving in that direction.

Low light will often cause the loss of variegation. From my understanding...., variegated areas have less chlorophyll so the existing green areas will do all the photosynthesis. The plant will sacrifice variegation for more green to survive in low light.

I've been following you since day 1, and i couldn't have said it any better than gigi3242. You, Matt, are a breath of fresh air in this hobby. Epic video Matt. The dangers of working in a fish shop and being the 1st to see those beautiful plants. I wouldn’t have been able to resist either. 👍🏻

The plants ? What about everything else that is shiny, new and has pre-filters too !!!! kicking around . . I would end up with a negative paycheck on more than a few weeks but it would be a great benefit and we can assume that the plants are heavily marked down , if not just a complete write off ? MAIDENHEAD AQUATICS is exactly where I would be spending the quid ? Shilling ? Pence ? Thank God for Bank cards , gift cards & my Credit cards .

You said it spot on Matt! It’s a hobby! If You enjoy creating it and are enjoying the tank, that is all that matters!! Lovely setup! Love those white Anubias!! Looking forward to seeing how this nano tank progresses and trio of fish is perfect. Gives you something else to look at in the tank; how they & the plants thrive! Great video! 👍🏻 Can’t wait to see a revisit progress video in a month or two on this one!!

HA! Done! I just want to honestly say what i love most is your being real and not at all "edited." You show us how we are and so we relate to you more. Sometimes, videos which are super perfect remain dreams. You, on the other hand, lead us and guide us and show us how to actually do stuff. It's all trial and error and you show us it's okay to make mistakes. Thank you, Sir!!!

Well first I see this huge piece of wood and I think 🤔 that's not going to work, but then it does work. It looks GOOD. And then that huge ass stone, and I think 🤔 that's not going to work, but then it does work, and looks GOOD. And then the tray of plants...... I KNEW they would work, and not only do they work, they look PHENOMENAL. What an amazing tank. And i just love that you still keep Endlers. Not many do anymore. Great job, Matt. Great unboxing and video. Keep 'em coming.

“Don’t worry about it too much.” Yup! Great advice. I love the creative process of aquascaping and when it’s not quite exactly what I want I can think about it for a month or six and redo it. I have scapes from a super simple betta tank to a crazy complicated 4 foot river scape.

I love the way it all turned out, this scape is unique. The plants are all green color but different green types. The endler is beautiful with his twin bar. Sometimes we see endlers with just one bar but it takes away the beauty of the fish.

Ha! Got to say buddy, I was shouting at you when you were putting the stones in, I was not feeling it, at all! But I really do like the finished tank - the addition of the carpeting plant was the right one, pulled everything together for me. Can't wait to see its progression, I wish you all the luck with the plants. They can be heartbreakers, no doubt! I'm really good at houseplants but struggle with plants in my vivarium. My aquarium plants are a mix of real wins and horrible failures. I hate to think how much money I've spent on now dead plants, hopefully you have more success than I do! Big love from Scotland :)
