Really appreciate the historical references! Also, you are by far the most energetic pregnant person I have ever seen.

Ha! Omg, you don't see me off camera. If Brooks weren't here to mop me off of the floor I wouldn't get anything done!

Just stumbled across the channel cause i was like... hey i really need to work on fishtails. And only to see that Laura has made content on this? thats a win bonus! and first of all, i never realized she was pregnant until she said so! And totally love the historical references, and referencing your music. Solid channel and congrats on the baby!

Ooooh just so many things I love of these 9 minutes. Earl Snake Hips Tucker for the Elvis legs, Mabel Lee's Tabby The Cat and just everything she does on screen, Blue Drag is such a great song choice. And youuuuuuu Laura, what an energy ball you are! Thank you! 🤩😘🙏

Great Video Laura!! I hadn't done this move before... maybe now is a good time to practice my solo jazz moves!! Thanks for the inspiration!

This is so helpful, thanks Laura! I’m not sure if you dance much blues, but the fish tale is very popular in blues dancing as well. It would be cool if you could do a cross over video and highlight moves that are common in both to make it easier for lindy hoppers to transition into other dance styles

Ha! I did blues a million years ago. I remember fishtails were popular, but it's been so long, I have no idea what the kids are doing these days, so I wouldn't trust myself to make a video.

Thanks, great for me to learn more variations! Interesting to see you do fish tails while upright and neutral weight, the way I was taught the move (and how I have seen it locally) is to sit and put your weight on the back, so there is that height change as well , like when you are doing the tabby the cat with sass/ butt emphasis ;)

Cool! I'll be on the lookout for that variation! I probably won't be able to do it justice for another few months (putting my weight back is hard right now!), but having more flexible ways of doing jazz movements is always so inspiring!
