My first fly rod was an Eagle Claw Featherlight 7' 5wt that i bought from a yard sale my senior year of high school. I had no idea what i was doing and just tied 6lb mono to the end of fly line and i was catching fish.

The sweetheart rod has been brought back! I think the orginal goes back to the 50's..

I have a Sweetheart and a Denco FFROD from 1975 and I have 2 Featherlite eagle claws 6'6" each. and 1 of the 7 Foot Featherlite rods. I catch anything from small blue gills, trout and bass.

Looks like a tough place to fish. Bass seem well educated, they must receive alot of pressure.
