Bloomin' brilliant, especially that first 10 mins with Mr Speed Snr. A master at work during the match.

Wow, definitely one of the best fishing videos I have ever seen. It beautifully reflects the essence of our passion. Greetings to Mr. Speed Sr. and respect to Nick for his determination.

Class film. I didn't know about this channel until today. I didn't know about Nick til today - after watching Jamie Hughes Winning Ways film "What makes good anglers good". As an ex-match angler I'm learning an incredible amount watching fishing on KZbin - something we never had thirty odd years ago. I reckon I could learn more from Mr Speed than anyone else - especially regarding water craft. It's not all about the gear. Also - love the cronking Raven at the start.

Excellent video. I too was a 80s dam flask boy , never match fished , just pleasure fished. Its a real shame about the demise of natural venues but I still fish it from time to time. Good o you Nick, you realised a dream whilst I'm still pushing rubbish around an hospital.

Peg 21 sums it all up. A no hope peg drawn by one of the great anglers who understands the environment where the fish could be and what makes them a realistic target to catch, Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Watching a master at work actually teaches you so much more than reading all those magazines. A very interesting and educational programme which covers the young Nick and his drive to succeed. I will be trying to see if I can make a difference based on your observations and thoughts. Thanks Nick. From a very grateful Angler.

This is a superbly put together video, one of the best I've seen on KZbin. It feels like a proper TV documentary. Nick's love for fishing really comes through so well. I've always known he was a good angler but this video has really made me appreciate him even more. Well done Shimano!

What a lovely video really enjoyed it. I wish that Shimano who are leaders in a lot of fields would look at match fishing with regards poles, seatboxes etc as everything they do has quality attached to it. Great to see your father and Tom Pickering. Well done for winning.

On a walk around Dam Flask in August 21 I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this legend who was preparing for a photo shoot for an angling magazine. He had the time to tell how and why he was doing certain methods and also the time for a joint photo. Top man and great angler, 🎣👍

The cream always rises to the top. Great to see the insite, of what goes through the heads of the greats. They deserve the sponsorship and tackle from their hard work as nd, sucess. Its not the tackle that catches fish as so many commercial anglers these days think. Its what you do and how you use it when where at what time that matters more. Class video

Too much caring about winning and not enough actual fish care. This is not what fishing is about this is disregarding basic common fish care for your own benefits, times ticking down and all you can think about is chucking the fish in the keep net as quickly as possible from 2 or 3 feet drop. You've lost your ways about what fishing is actually about and replaced it with self obsessed need to win. Try fishing for pleasure not for your own self satisfaction of beating the others
@Fishing-ug6ud2 жыл бұрын
completely agree, fantastic angler and thought processes and indeed a great film but just wants to throw fish in a net as quick as possible and get back in for the next
@DunkinBiscuits2 жыл бұрын
@@Fishing-ug6ud I agree and I was rooting for him seeing as he drew the worst peg. He done well and clearly knows how to fish but sadly has forgotten basic responsibilities as a fisherman. I think there should be some rules set in these matches about the standards of fish care required, it only takes a minute to unhook a carp on a mat and place it in the net with a little care
