I own two pair of these scissors that have been well used and abused on a daily basis at work and home, and I am quite impressed with the product. The awl tip is so needle sharp that it can and will break quite easily and quickly, the handles are a bit too small for my medium sized hands without gloves, , they do not come equipped with a scabbard that can be worn on a belt, but, other than that, they really are an excellent tool that everyone ought to own.

I have the same feature on my kitchen shears where the blades come apart. It is great for cleaning after getting them messy while cooking.

Great review Fred. Nice scissors, looks like they really did their homework designing them. I bought a small Fiskars scissor sharpener the other day which is probably very similar to what is on those scissors and it did a pretty nice job at sharpening a bunch of my older scissors. Good Stuff. :)

I'm left handed and I would say that prolonged use of scissors really hurts. I carry a pair of tactical/game scissors instead of a knife , I find it to be way more useful in most situations. But honestly lefty's get left out. Anyone know a great pair of multi use scissors for left hand people?

You should have used the oh so useful ruler on the Leatherman Wingman to measure the knife blade :)
