A sincere thanks for risking your life for this footage. It is absolutely amazing!

That sounded like an angry bear in the beginning! Never knew a volcano could make such noises. Thank you for sharing with us, but please stay safe. All the best to you, your family and friends.

AWESOME SOUND EFFECTS! Thanks for risking your life and capturing this historic event. Would have loved drone footage of 17, or actually one of these fissures just opening up. Too bad this kinda beauty causes so much destruction as it creates. ;-)

The fact that you could hear rocks hitting the leaves and bushs nearby should tell you how scary it is.

Holy cow! Viewing this footage now, in mid-July, the violence and unpredictability of that place seem terrifying to me. I would feel MUCH safer standing 50m away from fissure 8, gushing at full flow! The ground could have literally erupted under your feet. And I do mean literally!

I left a day before all this went down. Saw the overflowing lava lake before it disappeared. Excellent footage.

These fissure-type volcanoes are pretty damn terrifying knowing that there's lava right under your feet getting ready to erupt through those cracks in the ground and create literal hell on earth.

Thanks for watching! By sunrise the whole area was covered with lava

@timohara4077 I remember watching some of the coverage of that eruption back in 2018. Some of the footage showing fissures erupting literally in people's backyards was pretty crazy. I know there's new activity happening with Kilauea so I'm keeping an eye on a live stream to hopefully catch it when it erupts again. Yall stay safe out there. Greetings from North Carolina by the way.

I could tell that your scared to death, adrenaline pumping. Could practically hear your heart beating. Camera is all shaky. Gave me ptsd just watching. Your once in a lifetime experience could have been last of a life time. Footage can't be beat though. Big props.

I love it when people put up on KZbin videos that show what its like to actually be there and don't talk all over it and just FILM but pity about the camera mic hand sounds. Otherwise really good! You got to see the first lava cone up.

Gutsy. You were actually standing there when magma found its way to the surface. No way to know if there wouldn't be an explosion, or if it wouldn't come spraying out in a hurry, possibly from unexpected directions. The wind could shift and you could suffocate in the gas. Very cool vid tho. Wow.

Your doing great but be careful you don’t want it to be your last experience in life. But you have made me realize in this one short moment that our planet is alive other than my child’s first cry it’s the most amazing thing I’ve heard we need to take better care of it we’ve been poor stewards of this amazing place And make sure you have a respirator if your going this close maybe fire protection too
@samantha8506 жыл бұрын
Tim O'hara You don’t know the relief and the joy of meeting your child for the first time. At that time all you care about is protecting them and the joy that they are ok and an unexplainable unconditional love
