Partially because they make more inferred sense. If this was a complex puzzle the solution would be “you solve this by turning the tray vertical and glue each piece in place. The glues is hidden in a compartment in the puzzle.” Those are also entertaining to me because I find them absurd😂.

Puzzles are all about “thinking outside the box” so in other words anything counts as long as they don’t slide and are inside the tray. Thats why I think the best solution is duct tape

Actually although I do agree with your solution it is still a temporary one so I would rather say that instead of using Duct Tape you should use Gorilla Glue lol

if you can slide them into a configuration, then you can slide them out of that configuration, which means you don't have a solution, so the puzzle would make no sense if that was the case

Puzzles that don't require you to channel into the forth dimension to find a secret key that is stored in a secret compartment that could only be opened if you pressed a secret button hidden under a knob that needs to be turned in a specific orientation, in a specific way are the best puzzles.

Depending on measurements I think the other solution (basically "jam everything into one of the sides) should still work, but yeah depends on the exact measurements If it's all in "whole cubes" and you could divide it into a grid it would be easier to solve just by looking

I already have a way to solve it, I’m not even halfway through: you take the two U-shaped pieces and you fit them into/against the upper middle and bottom middle pieces. Fit the three straight pieces together, connecting/stuck to both sides.

You could also use the little gaps to hold the pieces. Since you have 5 you'll need to use the C-shaped ones as holders for at least one.

You should know almost immediately that it's impossible. If you slide the pieces in any position, then you can reverse your actions which would make it not the solution.

Put the two U pieces top and bottom in those notches, bridge one of the I pieces between then, and then place the other two I pieces either side of the first one, propped against the walls, and they should stay fixed?
