Winter was on a Tuesday last year in Brisbane. It’s 30 degrees today.

Hi both, I personally would have had red in the home kit. Also Nike should have marketed the England Goalkeeper kit. Love the content

Yeah not having the GK’s kits was a massive miss!

I prefer England to have a red color away kit

Red works well for England as a change colour. It was, of course, the hue in which they won the World Cup; and the red shirt/socks and white shorts is actually more representative of the flag of St. George than the white/navy home kit.

would love an mls kit overview video!

The FA should allow designers to let loose and design at least a third shirt with something new and radical, especially with England as a nation being more than a 1,000 years old. Surely there are many historical designs with potential to be made?

Definitely!

That’s a great shout, however my only thought is do we need even more kits? We’ve had some great training tops that could be played in??

I'm surprised we haven't seen a St George's cross go through the shirt a bit like Inter Milan away kit a few years ago

@@RS__7 I’m Scottish but even our dinosaur of an FA put out an amazing kit for our 150 year anniversary, although we only played with it once or twice. But even then it wasn’t a new idea but just something better than the plain and boring shirts we have had since the wonderful designs in the 90s. England is a top tier team and that includes commercially, there is no good excuse for not having some of the best shirts around.

Is it really that important anymore to take into account the playing conditions? These days players will just use a baselayer undershirt ...

very tempted to get that away kit in a mens size

I have recently got the total 90 Manchester United shirt from 94 and I have to admit the panels and build of the shirt has blown me away. The attention to detail compared to shirts today is nowhere near the same.

They were something else. I was working at Puma when Craig and his team designed that collection and it changed everything. We have an in-depth video on the design of that, speaking to designer Ffion Appleton. Look it up. I think you'd enjoy it! - Rob

Love the channel guys. I think a good idea for an England shirt (men or women) would be a white based shirt (obviously!) with a cross of St George running through it, but not a solid cross, rather a sort of wavy cross, like it would look on a flag fluttering in the wind, or being draped in the flag....very dynamic. It could run from the left shoulder to the right hem..... I think Nike shirts in general for England have been too conservative, not sure if that's anything to do with the FA but they've all been a bit bland.
@jonathancole833 Жыл бұрын
Some of the England shirts of the mid-00s did prominently feature the Cross of St. George. Also why I agree that some of Nike’s England designs have been bland, the glaring exception was the 2016 home kit: light blue sleeves, white shorts and red socks!

Today's kits look straight up UGLY & uninspired & embarrassing to wear & are even MORE overpriced nowadays. The 150€ authentic Bayern special edition kit with the mountains, for example, looks like ugly pyjamas when worn in real life. I can't understand how there are learnt designers out there, who have more than 1 year time for the creative process and come up with s***. Young people going for Vintage kits rather than the most recent ones are proof.
