Amazing playing but one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to metal bands is they always turn the bass down way too low, FFAA is one of my top 3 fav metal bands and I always get the sense with most metal bands is that the bass player is just not good and just follows the guitars but here you can actually see the fills that he’s playing and knowing that there are actually some pretty good fills in here pains me because you can barely here it in the track. Also this might be the first time that you here a guitarist say the bass is too quiet

it's a bass playthrough, yet half the time it is almost inaudible. There's something wrong if you have to really really try to hear the bass in a bass playthrough. It was the same for their last bass playthrough too.

I agree with both comments. The problem is that in the record if the bass gets turned up anymore it starts getting in the way of the guitars. There isn't enough room on the audio spectrum for good bass and crystal clear detuned and dropped guitars, it's a pain in the ass with metal sound engineering to find that sweet spot...

@@jaymaw6164 The thing is that you shouldn't have to have the best speakers with heaps of bass just to hear it. While some people will disagree, the bass is a guitar (hence the name bass guitar) and its just annoying that it's so much quieter than the guitars and everything else, especially in a playthrough.

0:51 and.... GO!!! Love it. Fantastic bass guitarist. He knows how to keep the song chugging along and ties the guitars to the percussion flawlessly. But yea with with metal the bass is so hard to hear because it's so low, the guitars take all the space in the engineering and there is very little room left, and 'sub-bass' is hard to hear with the ear buds and absolute trash 'Beats' headphones everybody uses.
