It’s funny that in my life the most aggressive and misunderstood things can be the most important and beautiful. Metal saved me I almost lost my mind and gave up on life. I owe everything to this genre. It’s always there

As a metal musician, I'd respectfully disagree. I have heard pop that was more bold, interesting and experimental than most of the praised metal acts. All of music has something interesting and worth listening to is one is patient enough to pay attention.

*Sorry in advance if I'm being too corny lol* WELL SAID! Every brief testimony by each band member really shows that they apply their hearts and souls into their music. Listening and playing heavy metal (and most subgenre's of metal if we are to get technical) really helps me and sustains a positive mood and attitude towards myself, others, and life itself. When life get tough, metal impacts my attitude in a way that can be described as, "this is a chance to learn, and mold yourself into becoming a better person. Don't be a baby about it, get your ass up, be a man, and fix your troubles into learning from them." Without hardship, man is without knowledge. It's how you handle and resolve your issues/hardships that determine how and/or if you grow. I genuinely have just gained so much respect for Fit For An Autopsy. Not many people understand this slowly dying genre that is metal to the public ear. If only more metal bands received just enough revenue to financially hold them over between tours and album sales. Keep on chuggin on Fit For An Autopsy!

What I love of metal is even if it is pessimistic or uses to gravitate towards negative emotions is that is honest. Metal is a music made of contrast: The fastest rythms and the lowest, the lowest tunes and the highest on solos, the screaming and the melodic vocals, the hars lyrics about life in some songs and the great balads in others, the sensation of being in danger but being strong to face it. Some songs can be simple and others push the boundaries of musicianship beyond. It's a niche for the outcast and lone people but a place to share and feel understood. Metal is the statement that you know things are not perfect and that you can accept both the struggle and the great things. PD: About rage and being a teenager. I remember being 14 and were listening to All that remains. My mother was doing some chores here and there, sighing and making dissapointment faces. At some point she said: "I don't know how you can stand being yelled all the time" I said: " I'm not being yelled, I'm the one who is yelling".

We both might be late to this video but your comment is the exact reason why I love metal, which I couldn't put into words but you did it way better than I ever could xd For the past years I have been listening to death metal and a bit more heavier stuff but never understood why and didnt really care but it was until recently I actually asked myself this so thank you

Metal is a very unique path to wander for everyone feeling these emotions. Metal is emotions for me. I can laugh, cry, REEE, headbang, chill, overthink and BREEE to it. Every genre is a very unique path in it's own right. I personally favor metal because I got the most memories to it and, like said in the video, I never felt the same way in other genres when going to shows, talking about Metal, playing it, or simply listening a whole concept album and being immersed into hate, anger, desperation, fury, the feeling of being left alone and being in the circle pit at the same time. It's a way to find yourself. Peace guys. \m/
