Good Review. What I want to know is how to GPS track a workout with a linked phone and show time and distance on a map in the fitbit app. Amazingly--this key feature is never covered!

Just treated myself to an Inspire 3 after watching several videos on youtube. I'm pleased with how many functions it has. I'm in England now & it was £69.00 which is £20 off the usual price. Colour is a nice bonus, clockface choices are nice. There's at least 4 I'll switch between that I like best. Love the Morning Glow band. I might get a couple of other colours to switch. Compared to my original Original Flex (not a Flex 2!) that still works & I've had for many years, this Inspire 3 has so many functions it feels like a real treat for me! I've just tried the wellness breathing & I'll definitely use that. I like it. I've set an alarm for the morning & will try the smart wake too, to see how it is. Reminders to get up & move each hour! Thanks lol. Very comfy strap. I can see why some people say the steps and calorie etc numbers are small but to me that's fine. I prefer the shape and size of this fitbit & a square-shaped one isn't for me. To me, the fact that there's a display showing my steps and everything else, is a huge upgrade from a Flex with 5 little lights & that's it! I got this Thursday morning & it was 53% charged already, so I wore it immediately & went out for the day. I am happy about how long the battery lasts. I charged it up to 100% on Thursday evening when I got home & it's now sunday night & it's at 77%. I have auto-awake on for the clockface & not 'always on' It only takes a gentle wrist movement for the display to show the time etc. So I am really happy about that. You know it isn't going to suddenly stop working. With the Flex I had to check on the app how the % was doing & remember to charge overnight a few times a week! Super happy with this on so far!! Go for it!

@@asd77691 No you don't. "If you just want basic stats on your sleep, steps, heart rate, and workouts, you probably don't need Premium. Your device and the free app still automatically records your steps, active zone minutes, sleep, and heart rate, including resting heart rate, and heart rate variability."

I wore this to get a routine stress test at my cardiologist. With their equipment my heart rate went to 144 but the Fitbit never left the '60s. I've noticed that the heart rate monitor is kind of all over the place. I'm not sure any of the fitness trackers do that well with heart rate. Fitbit says to do all of these things and blames it on different environmental factors such as sweat!! It's a fitness tracker!! I'm thinking of returning it but I do like having phone notifications on my wrist and that works well. I haven't been able to get out and go for a walk with it so I don't know how that works. It's very very comfortable. I had skin sensitivity issues with the Galaxy watch 5 and had to return it, but have had no issues with the Inspire 5. I would probably recommend it to track steps etc but not for any health metrics. I also haven't tried the connected GPS.

Fitbit & any fitness trackers aren't expected to be medical level heart rate monitors. If your Inspire stayed around the 60s maybe it's faulty.

Watches from Apple and Huawei offer more accurate heartrate monitor from what I understand. Fitbit is more about getting decent sleep tracking at a low cost.

is there a way to stay on the heart monitor mode without it changing automatically? it keeps going back to the clock every 2 minutes no matter how many times i go back to the heart monitor mode, also i don't like those notifications that say "you're earning! keep going!"

If I could find the Charge 5 on sale for $120 I'd probably choose that since I like the screen a bit better, although its a tough choice since I do think the tracking on the Inspire 3 is a bit more consistent.

you can find the charge 5 on ebay for less than $100, charge 5 has allot more features, i think charge 5 might be the most featured fitbit, the reason i got the charge 5 is because it has gps witch means after each bike ride or long walk/run i get a satisfying red line on a map showing were i went, and i also do not have to take along my phone witch i like as i don't like the phone with me when walking as i like having as little as possible on me when i walk as each little thing messes a little with the joy of walking/running, i think charge 5 is the best starting fitbit as it helps you figure out a little of everything and once you recognize witch featurs are most important to you ,than you can get a different one with less but more accurate featurs

Depends on the watch face… many of them do allow for multiple color options, but not sure you can change other font colors outside of the main Watch face

I just subtract 30% from the total calories burned to see where I'm at. still in testing phase so I'll update you in a month and see if I gained or lost weight
