Okay, so there are a zillion and one Bettie bangs trimming vids out there so another one can't hurt right? I love the accuracy achieved with guys' trimmers but I fear for my eyebrows every time.In this video I show you a quick trick to save your beloved brows!
Hair isn't the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool 'do' can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?
Welcome to Vintagious, here, in my own litttle corner of KZbin I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.
I don't have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it'll be Edwardian hairstyles that I'm all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I'll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!
I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit - and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

Did mine and I LOVE them! They are quite high maintenance, but to me it's super worth it. It's a great way to have that vintage look quickly each day as even a ponytail looks that way with this shape. Thank you Natalie for your videos which saved my little vintage soul post baby! Muuuah!

God I used to do this as a teen back in the 90s. Makes me want to do it again. It was so low maintenance as I'd just wait for my bangs to dry at night, then sleep with the rest of my hair wet as its naturally stick straight, and it was perfect in the morning. The blunt look worked really well for my face shape for some reason and I have an awful large forehead. Anyway, this is the best way to do it!

try this, there is a product here in USA at Sally's Beauty Supply, its haircutting tape. you can use to cover your brows, and heres the other trick. use one long piece across your betty bangs to hold them in place as you cut. works WONDERS. HELPS YOU GET THAT SHARP EDGE EVEN SHARPER! Also useful with jet setter bangs, etc etc. and for trimming lil' wee Betties, you can put the tape in straight line where you want to cut, and cut at edge of tape, ensuring straight bangs regardless of movement! GREAT VIDEO, super useful. I am a stylist here in the US of A, and I give you a double thumbs up on this technique!

Goddess Bless! I needed to see this. For the very first time in my adult life, I have Bettie bangs. The problem is they started out as side bangs in December 2019 and I have this side fringe that is completely annoying now. Grrrr. At least now, I know what to do about trimming my Bettie bangs! Thank you!!! I am eternally grateful!

Fitfully Vintage My pleasure! I have loved Pinup Girls since I was in high school. *clears throat and coughs *. Back in 1986 - 1990. And my love is deeper now. Of course, it was Bettie Page who drew me to that world. Now, at almost 48, I’m identifying with that lifestyle. You’d love my pinup girl platforms Mary Janes! The designer is Hot Chocolate Designs! I have two pairs of their Mary Janes. My very first pair I bought around Christmas 2016! They’re a bit worn out, but still look awesome! They’re Victorian! I honestly wish HCD would redesign them into their platform collection. The flats shoeboxes are Chocolate Milk cartons! My platforms came in a triple layer Neapolitan birthday cake box! I tried keeping my milk carton. Unfortunately, I was unable to. A very Long story I am trying desperately to let go of and heal within! I’m on a spiritual journey which is also Magickal. I’m self-dedicating for the second Full Moon in a row. I finally love myself and everything good and bad about myself. I’m forgiving myself and letting all of it go! Because I did this back in March, I tapped into my creativity which has been blocked for a VERY long time. I’m a singer/songwriter, play the keyboard/piano, write a lot! Fiction and Autobiographical themes. Lots of supernatural and paranormal themes! Witches and Vampires mostly. I journal as much as possible and actually have a small library of my journals and fiction and poetry. That life has been gone since 2015. I wrote in a months time, February 2015 Ten Chapters of a fan fiction novella inspired by Emilie Autumn’s The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls. I too, live and suffer with Bipolar Disorder type 1 and I rapid cycle. This past Friday I went through every emotion in less than 24 hours! I’m also in love, which I believe is truly my first time ever. He came into my life at the end of February this year and I have been manic ever since. I should be sleeping right now. I have dialysis to go to around noon. It’s 6:11am Eastern Time. I’ve been awake since noon yesterday and went to sleep around this time. I exist in this small town in Central Pennsylvania. This guy is also a Witch. That’s what drew us together and FAST and intense! He is also a traveling tech for dialysis clinics. The biggest drawback we have. I’m hoping all my tarot readings as well as ALL the readers I follow on KZbin readings are right. If so, he’s my past-life Twin Flame/Soulmate! And we’ve never gotten it right all those past-lives. This is the first time and last time we actually get right! Last time is this is our last lives on Earth. So...with all this in mind, my musical journey is sparking back up. I used to sound kinda like an ethereal/Goth Tori Amos. My style that I’m composing in my mind is an Avant-garde Jazz. A very sensual, “wicked”, lite BDSM, a side I’ve kept hidden almost all my life. It’s good to be back!!! I’m a ginger that dyes my hair vibrant colors. It’s Vampire Red now. I’ve been turquoise, purple, berry, and rose as in the pinker shades not red. Any way, I’ve restarted my KZbin channel. I kept the first three videos as a reminder of who I was and will never be again! The updated videos are of me in my manic state after March’s full moon. It’s more or less a hobby for me. I’m right now not looking for fame and fortune. I just want to make my mark in the world.

FANTASTIC!! Going to try this method as I have just cut a straight across fringe & really don't know how to manage the scissors well at all! This simple way should be just the fix I was looking for to shape the bangs!!😎 You're awesome , thanks so much for sharing!!🌹

I wish I had seen this video when I still had mine! I had Bettie bangs for about five years and cutting them was always a struggle, specially because I have a huge cowlick in the side of my hairline and keeping the bangs from parting there was difficult. I had to weat them very thick and keep in mind the curling from the cowlick when cutting the length. At the beginning it always looked shorter on that side! By the end I got the hand of it, I would divide my bangs in thin horizontal layers and cut them with scissors. I took time, but the result was way better. For I while now I just decided stop fighting with my hair and embrace the cowlick. I grew my bangs and wear my hair side parted. I do miss them sometimes, though.

A Vintage Vanity - Jen , I have the same issue with thin hair , but I don't find I look like me without bangs , so I cut them anyway :) I think it also helps that my hair is a light color . It kind of camouflages how thin my hair is . I think it's a great idea to get a clip in fringe , and cut that into Bettie bangs . You will be able to wear bangs when you want , or take them out for a different style . There is so much we can do with hair extensions . They let us try out styles to see how we like them , before cutting our actual hair . If you do cut a clip in fringe into Bettie Bangs , I'd love to see a tutorial :) Hint, hint :)

I love the look, btu whenever i have cut them in, I always have an accident! Either I cut them too short or too wide :-/ BUT I found a pretty good human hair clip in bang that i've cut, and so far so good! They need a little more shaping, and I'll definitely use that clever tape trick. Thanks for sharing!

Why do you need a trimmer with something that cuts sideburns. Your normal trimmer would probably just work fine and your a redhead naturally?? This lady that cut my hair kept telling me to keep my head straight and eventually stopped so my hair was a little uneven on the left side I’m pretty sure 😅😅

hi i dont know if you can help me but i am losing my hair alot i am 34 years old gay man and it drives me crazy as i will die if i lost all my hair.... if you have any remedy or anything that can stop male alopecia or baldness . i have been to dermatologist and he put me on a tablet called Propecia here in SWEDEN i took it but i couldnt find any improvement. so he said as its genetic and tablet isnt working so if you can afford go for hair transplant but that's beyond my reach as its very expensive for me to afford. so if you have any tips etc kindly please share it with me i will be always grateful to you.... peace out from sweden.

I am sorry that you are self conscious about your hair. I think you will find your dermatologist is correct but no one knows how much hair you are going to lose it might not be very much. I dont think there arecany cures as such however, I have heard that caffeine shampoo can help, as can the herb Fenugreek. try not to rub your hair too hard when washing or drying it and use regular conditioning masks.
