I have been a fan of lowered vehicles since high school. Still going strong many years later. All of my current vehicles are lowered on lowering springs for daily driving. I would love to upgrade to complete air ride systems in the future, however price is a major factor. If you look at the price of the Fortune Auto Air Cup system, I don't see the benefit of using the Fortune Auto Air Cup system over a full air ride system offered by other manufacturers. Prices are basically the same. When I am able to upgrade to a complete air ride system, I will definitely save up and get a "fully adjustable" air ride system with full functionality over the Fortune Auto air cup system. Just my thoughts. Thanks.👍🏼

Do you recommend cup kit on "track" cars? I don't want the suspension to be too soft. When I had bags on coilovers on one of my cars, it was still too "bouncy/soft". That car was a fast turbo'd sedan, so I didn't want to be bouncy, I wanted it to be solid planted to the floor. So I ditched the whole airbag/coilovers 3 months after I installed it.
@philspaghet Жыл бұрын
Probably not a good idea tbh because it looks like the setup severely reduces spring travel since it makes it use a much smaller spring. If your car needs more travel probably not a good idea

I resell Stanceparts air cup kits, and also have it installed in my Honda Prelude. I've driven with them aired up for 3 years straight as I fitted bigger wheels and needed the clearance between my fenders and tyres as I had my coilovers turned down super low, so driving static low was not an option or I would have ripped my fenders off a long time ago. The reason you can't drive them aired up (or it is advised not to) is because the air cup piston compresses your springs in order to lift the weight of the body. In doing so your spring rate changes and becomes so stiff that going over the smallest of bumps (even a pebble or stone in the road) causes the car to hop in an unstable manner which is very unsafe, not to mention possible strain on other suspension components. If the road surface is smooth you can get away with driving aired up. Anyway, to combat this I've been experimenting with 5 way 3 position air valves which allows you to step the air cup piston movement, which means you can determine how much air pressure is in the cups at any given time. Quarter to three quarters of lift gives you a comfortable drive (obviously within reason). I'll be uploading an upcoming vlog sometime soon where I document the installation of these 5/3 valves in one of my customer car's. Check out my channel and hit subscribe to view once it goes live ;-)
