I'm glad that Faye acknowledged the fact that her channel is more than "story-telling" about her projects. She puts out alot of quality tutorials on how to fix things that are just as valuable to her audience in my honest opinion. I want to see the Supra project done as much as anyone but it's easy to forget that she does have a life that requires other things going on and the need for patience is key. I have a small contribution to her 1987 Supra that i need to send out. 😁

Haye, Branden Dyer here from Portland so can't believe you left to Texas 2016'ish.. all in all you're the only "girl"friend I really ever had, dismantling and working on your Supra, let alone working on Volkswagens with Jerry Reynolds. But the funny thing is when you left Portland I learned about you from afar than ever I did staying at your place in Milwaukie. All in all I still remember all the good ol Days. But then I learned you graduated from Harvard etc. Then drove your Diesel Rabbit across United States and that's what I met you.. all in all I miss the only girl I was friends with. And you never had no judgment

Thanks, friend!! Those were some really really wonderful days. I will always look back on that time in my life fondly. Nowadays I do almost everything alone. I don't think I could ever have another "supravisor" people treat me strange nowadays because I carry so much baggage of expectations that people have about me from my whole life and history being online.... not to complain. my own choice. But likewise, none of y'all ever judged me or thought anything weird about me just being there in the shop always working on one of the projects. JR was the one who welded the brackets on my old intercooler, and Jeff who helped me paint it the first time. Seems I have just found replacements for the mentors in my life I miss from Portland. Hope all is well, miss ya!

Here's another notification for your day of notifications. This guy commented, and liked, of course 😂. Looks like you are making a ton of progress. That's really clever, cutting the crash bar like that. And having a car you've been working on for years, I told you about Papa Smurf, while time-consuming is very therapeutic in a way because you don't have a timeline. I hate these TV shows, and no offence to All Girls Garage, that try to portray that you can restore a car in a week. It only serves to create unrealistic expectations. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing the rest of your progress!

No, you're so right and I agree! It sucks for us too - we spend so much time on a build, only to get to show it in 22 minutes, and then people accuse us of "not doing the work" like... how much as we supposed to show you in 22 minutes?!! But when we do small projects then "the girls are lame and don't do any difficult work" !! We can't seem to win with the people who just want to find fault, but that's a huge reason why I enjoy showing all of the really nitty gritty boring details of this build. I don't have a lot of time, I am squeezing in this build into a few hours here and there, and it takes a long time for me to get things done! I hope it serves as a realistic inspiration for folks who have long-term project cars!!

@@FayeHadley Yeah, I totally sympathize with you girls. I think there's some sexism going on, and another the reason they're complaining is that there's no drama and fighting. That seems to be the new trend for reality TV. Gotta film all that yelling and screaming and drama. And you really can't make everyone happy. I really believe here's a whole demographic of people who have nothing better to do than find faults and complain. But on the bright side you are open and honest about everything, you film the boring parts because it's actually the boring parts that are the most important parts of the build, and that m'lady is a great mentality to have. So just keep on being you Faye!

Looking good! I have a similar intercooler (might be the same size, can't remember off the top of my head) and was able to mount it in the same orientation as the factory unit (angled, not vertical). I have pictures somewhere.

This is crazy, I put an ebay version of the same size intercooler in my 89 mk3 a couple weeks ago with the help of my nephew. The quality was surprisingly good for what i paid and its like it was meant to be when you first hang it up there haha

Stupid question of the day: what's the difference between a intercooler and a radiator?

Not stupid, they both cool! Radiator cools the engine coolant, intercooler is for turbocharged applications and cools the air for the charge pipes, making the air more dense and therefore able to cram more oxygen molecules into the engine!! Intercoolers can be air to air like I have here, or can be water-cooled as well.
