This episode is a little bit of finishing off things from the last episode and we start to tackle the toilet first fix. As it turns out the installation manual is not very clear and mostly just wrong.

A refleks is fabulous. I am watching the fellow narrow boaters in my marina having to lift, carry and move coal, as well as the daily removal of ash... Paul and Olivia front Lockgate are gems. The lead time is install..time. They have lots in stock. I love my Refleks, have a brisket sizzling on it as I type..

Thanks. Yes, lead time is just availability of people when placing an order, your deposit is the cost of materials. Quite common.

I find bad instructions really frustrating too. It's most prevalent in manuals that cover multiple different versions. I feel your pain.. The walls look good now and that is another tick on the list.

Hi Colin & Roma. Enjoying your build and the problem solving, its looking a nice job. Bad instructions are annoying as you have spent the money buying the goods. Good idea to make the pump (or anything mechanical/electrical) easily accessible as they will block and fail one day. Andy

Kindly suggest internet Google of "Marine heating solutions" for instructions and picture of how a boat hearth for a stove should be built. Topps tiles supply "hardebacker" cement board and I cut squares from this to initially fix to the wooden boat wall. This creates the required air gap before the vermiculite board is the secured to the hardebacker spaces. This was suggested to me by a small but very good boat builder.

Probably pointless TBH. They won’t care. I phoned 2 suppliers. There response was somewhat blank. They’d never seen the water inlet connection either.
