Just done a bit of 'maintenance' on mine. I noticed the cosmetic cover had pinged off one side and it was because it wasn't quite seated properly: similar hack to yours - trim off the top of the black end pieces to make them fit better under the sill. Too much underseal on the sills!

Glad its not just me! Really annoyed me, 10 min job turning into hours fiddling to make it fit - never really knowing if you are screwing it up or not. Phew :)

Yeh I had the same problem, but just cut a bit off the top and then sealed it, worked out well .

Hi, Enjoyed watching your video. I have a similar Thule sliding step on my campervan, and I'm having a bit of bother with it, and wonder if you would have any suggestions. The problem is with the cover on the bottom of it, which is a sort of heavy duty, flexible, plastic, corrugated sheet which protects some of the electrics and mechanisms from road dirt while driving. The front end of it dropped off, dug into the road and wore away before I could stop. On your video at 1.45, you can see the top cover on yours, which is the same corrugated sheet. I can't find a replacement sheet for this. Tried Thule themselves, but with no luck. It's not a spare part. Tried perspex sheet, but it snapped trying to get it on. (needs to be more flexible). . Tried asking on a Facebook page and got suggestions like plywood (too ridged), rubber car mat (too flexible), aluminium sheet (?), Correx fluted board (not heavy duty enough for under the van). And been to B&Q, Wickes etc looking for something suitable. Looking up KZbin videos, found your video, and thought, I can only ask. So, hope you don't mind, but would you have any idea what I could use? Thanks

Hmmmm..... Unlucky! Maybe correx? amzn.to/3sUaQcb - I did think it was a bit naff when I installed it - but think its something like correx? You can get different thicknesses? Maybe that, or plastic, then lots of gaffa tape (!)

Hi, thanks for your video! Is it the THULE Slide-Out Step Manual 400, et did you buy the Ducato kit to install it on your car? Bye!

Nah - was ok to DIY once you get your head around it. Wiring will come - whacking wires across a PP3 will suffice for now!
