Well done for your first attempt that is excellent. Ive been renovating houses for years and was searching for an instructional video on how to put up coving. Yours is the most informative ive seen and your results speak for them selves

Hello, I just bought the same thing from B&Q and got confused as well as I opened the box. I am an experienced dyi person and I’m glad I found your video as it really helped to make sense of it. You did a great job and you saved me a lot of swear words ahahahaha

Thanks Andrea, coving made my brain hurt!! I want to put it in my sitting room but I think I’ll have to watch my video to remember how to do the corners 😂

This is such a useful video. I hate seeing professionals doing the job quickly because that’s not helpful to someone doing it themselves. I think I’ll have a lot of miss cuts even with the corner guide. I’m going be using a mitre box and a really fine Japanese pull saw :)

You did a great job, Deborah! I have an older home in California which has wooden molding in some rooms. I plan to try this in a small room. x

Wow! This looks fabulous. I've tried something like this on a smaller scale and could not do it. lol I just couldn't figure out how to make the angles right.

Thank you. Would you have another try sometime??
@gigieyre Жыл бұрын
@@LivinganOrganisedLife yes! I'm going to try it again when I'm on summer break. My brother in law said that he will help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

How would you cut a corner piece that has a boxed pipe box all the way into the ceiling? It's driving me mad trying to work out.
@LivinganOrganisedLife2 ай бұрын
It sounds like an external angle? Is that right?
@shinyumbgaming74932 ай бұрын
@LivinganOrganisedLife yes that would be right, but I also have another on another wall that is internal.
@LivinganOrganisedLife2 ай бұрын
I did an internal to external corner in the video. I would draw it first to map out the shape. Alternatively you could buy the pre made corners, fit them and then add the straight lengths in between. It might save a lot of head scratching. Plus caulking is a lifesaver to cover any gaps!!
@shinyumbgaming74932 ай бұрын
@LivinganOrganisedLife thank you. I managed it without the pre bought corners but I did buy them and they helped visually like you said in the video.

I didn’t prime them, I just painted them with emulsion, the same as the walls 😊
