I bought my son a '90 Mk2 1.6 ez a year or so ago. I owned about the car 20 years ago and I bought it back for £300. I restored/replaced EVERYTHING underneath and I dropped in a 1.8 pb on a single weber. I used MSR for lots of bits, great firm. The little git now wants a motorbike.

Hey, i went to a friend and visited an old barn. The first thing i saw was a VW golf gti mk2 v16 from 1987, I am 17 and need that as my first car. At the moment I am waiting for a response of the owner. It has not started for 8 years, so I am really praying

The coilovers look similar to the Vmaxx/Raceland one we got over here. Koni inserts make a nice upgrade to these.

Been through a few sets if these. They are fine but do budget on replacing every 3 to 4 years from my experience. But bloody cheap so who cares lol

They’re still ok after 2 years. The car isn’t driven daily so the slightly stiffer ride doesn’t bother me. The units themselves have held up pretty well.

Hey, I'm just wondering as it's been a while since you've fitted these. how would ypu rate these coilovers now after more time on the road, have they softened up or got harder etc?

They’re not bad at all. Better than others at the lower end of the market I’ve tried. I’ve not gone super low with them so that may have helped. The Jetta is coming out next month so I’ll take a look after a couple of months in storage for the winter.

Brand new ones from eBay. They were much cheaper than euro car parts
