FITTING DECAT DOWNPIPE TO 480BHP M240i! - FLOOR SHAKING BANGS

Today we're fitting a decatted downpipe to a 2018 480BHP M240i to prepare it for a Stage 2+ remap along with mapping in some ridiculous flame and antilag settings for the cars switchable maps!
This took about 3 hours to install and we just followed a KZbin video of someone else doing it and then followed the steps the guy did. Now that this decat is on, Harry can use his MG Flasher to map in a variety of antilag/2-step style engine cuts, push even more power out of the engine and also be one step closer to being able to hit the 500BHP mark.

What made you go mg flasher. I went with bm3 cause i read its more wildely used and reliable? Also MTC downpipe still goimg good no issies? Stuck between the mtc or getting a vrsf one shipped in

Mtc is going strong mate 👍🏻 and went for mg flasher after loads of research as at the time i bought it mg flasher had developed way more features than bm3 and mhd but both have caught up now anyway so any are good and reliable just whatever interface you prefer really

Don't put a decat on a Remus, Sports cat sounds much nicer with all the added volume

@@larryboy6577 maybe you haven't heard one but, how would you compare the remus to the mpe, I already have a double Res delete so I'm thinking of going Remus backbox, I want something loud when you put your foot down

@@Rookiereece the Remus has more of a lower tone to it, a deeper growl, tbh it’s not very raspy like the set up in this video. I prefer the raspy tone over the deep growl.

@@Rookiereece the Remus with the decat was deafening on a cold start, it sounds deep like a v8 idle. But the acceleration sound isn’t my favorite. The remus with factory down pipe sounds great, it’s just not as obnoxious. As for the MPE my buddy just got one but I have yet to hear it. I’ll report back when I see him tomorrow

Have a little look online to see if a company makes a downpipe for it mate although i doubt it, best bet would be to give an exhaust shop a message and get them to fabricate a cat delete pipe for you! 👍🏻

Sounds wicked, sounds like m2 competition now. Too much hassle though, running risk of being pulled over with emissions test, and also would have to switch catted system on every MOT.
