This video shows a typical wide hoof, that is slightly square-shaped before a trim. A 130 size FlexHorse Boot is very snug on this hoof and although the boot shell does go on, you can see the top of the boot shell gaping significantly because the hoof is too wide and not in its anatomically correct shape. You can see the gaping clearly when the hoof is filmed from the front. This is not a problem with the boot shell, this is a trimming issue.
So next we trim the hoof to its anatomically correct shape and proportions, and then try on the same size 130 boot shell. The hoof goes into the boot much more easily, and straight away you can see how much the gaping has reduced; there's no gaping on the outside at all, and only a small amount on the inside of the leg.
We then try the boot on the front leg too, and you can see how well it fits. It's like a second skin on the hoof, and the boot does not rotate even when considerable amount of pressure is applied. This is how Flex Boots are designed to fit, and it can be achieved with frequent (weekly) trims and by caring for the horse holistically.
