I've never heard of a roof tent built into the roof before. It looks like a tidy piece of kit! It'll be nice to be able to leave it on knowing it's VERY unlikely to be stolen!

i helped a friend fit one of those many years ago .. we used a 2 post lift to raise the AluCab ..... but Mike & Jeff's fitting went way better than ours

Pretty Defender! Looks like new.👌 If it was mine I think I would find a place to store that original roof. You never know what the future holds and you may decide to swap it back. Alucab looks good though.👍

What is the alucab for ? Ventilation ?

It's a pop top camper. Hinged at one end. Good bit of kit, puts the bed up at roof level so the inside can be set up for camping or left as it is. Popular in Africa and here in Oz.

Nice job. Mike, can a Classic Range Rover take a 200-300tdi along with the ZF auto box?

You can fit a disco 300Tdi and auto box combo (not a V8 auto box!) - but the 300Tdi has not enough power to pull a heavy lump of Range Rover, in my opinion. Been there, done that - never again!
