Hey Jay, Cool look. Watched your other video putting a 180 on the stock rim. Would a 180/65 on a 5.5" wheel clear the fender?. I read that the effective width of a tire would differ with rim width. Have you ever noticed any change, with first job and now given, the tires are same and there is a of difference 1" between stock and Victory alloy.
@OpenRoader4 жыл бұрын
Any updates on how you like these tires? I was hoping you were going to show the stock wheel and tire next to the Victory to see if there was a height difference. Was also wondering how much clearance you had in the sub frame. Any rubbing? They sure look good, that's for sure. Stay safe bro

How does the bike handle/ride with the new arrangement? Is it "lighter/"faster" on curves? I mean because of the narrower track on tires. Also can you lean a bit More?

Do you change the wheel for the look or any problem with the tire in 180 and stock wheel of the bobber ?

Main reason was i wanted to go back to a knobby tire and there are just not many options on a 16' rim. A happy bonus was i really like the looks too! I still have the cobras and will probably run them again. Even with the new rear wheel i still put a 180 on it.

Yes. Wheels are still on the bike. Honestly other than the looks they function just like stock. Little bit less sidewall on the tires I’m running right now. But I am not a good e light rider to ride this bike at its limits to really know a difference. I would say to hold out for used ones. Took me about a year to find both. But I’m into both wheels for about $300.

Hi! New to your channel, and was referred to you by Open Roader! Don't necessarily know if this is the right place to be asking this question, but do you have any info on the Big Bore kit for the indian? Any info would be absolutely wonderful.
@jay_fast4 жыл бұрын
TYLERTW24 I have been very keen on doing it myself. And will def make a video of it if I do. Revolution performance is the company that does the kit. I believe it’s $1200USD. You remove your cylinders and ship to them. They machine the bore larger and send them back to you along with new pistons and rings. You would need enough engine building knowledge to disassembled and reassemble as well as grind and set your ring gaps otherwise you’d have to have it installed by a shop. It seems guys are seeing 110hp and 90ft/lbs. That’s with the big bore, intake, exhaust and tune. For comparison I have 95hp and 70ft/lbs with intake exhaust and custom tune

So what you’re saying is that a 16” scout wheel will swap onto an octane too?
@jay_fast2 жыл бұрын
I can’t confirm that. As I’ve never done it. But the wheel. Brakes. Crush bushing. Wheel bearings And the drive pully. Are all interchangeable as far as I’ve found. The octane pully does have a different tooth count though. So may change the gearing a bit.

@jay_fast4 жыл бұрын
guitarist595 it didn’t at all. You can take the tire sizes and put them into a tire calculator online. Speed is off by a percentage. So lower speeds is negligible. And as you get faster the speed offset percentage grows exponentially. But at 65mph on the speedo I was seeing 63.73mph actual speed.
