We in the same boat. I had to walk away from this girl bc she didn't show any effort. Meanwhile I went above and beyond. After I left we didn't talk for 3 years. After that she sent me an email saying she misses me and to call her. She even tweeted about me and was excited that I responded. After a week of talking I found out why she hit me up after 3 years. She was struggling. She needed money for food and transportation while she was 1000+ miles away. I helped her out on two occasions but then she asked again. I realized she didn't miss me, she missed the things I did for her. She returned home a week later and didn't visit me not one time. She had every excuse in the book why she couldn't, and the reason was bc it would actually require effort since she didn't have a car and I was 45 mins away.
