this scene reminds me of season 5 where daisy was like “we don’t turn on our own” and fitz called her out “do you want me to recount all the times that you did?” i’m not taking sides here. i’m saying daisy did what she had to do, and good for her. i’m also saying fitz was in the right to call her out. they’ve all been through hell; all of them. you can argue that daisy had it worse, and maybe she did. still, fitz had every right to call her out because they were friends. they were close to each other; family, at this point. imagine if someone you knew, someone you’ve been to hell and back with, imagine if that someone just disappeared all of a sudden. i personally think it’s part of daisy’s character that she runs when she’s scared, of when she’s confused. i don’t like that aspect of her, but it makes her human. i just don’t like people criticising fitz as if he didn’t have every right to be hurt and feel betrayed by her.
@eurydice55894 жыл бұрын
“something terrible happened and she didn’t want our help getting through it,” as an additional thought, the team did try to be there for daisy but she continued to run. i’m not saying i hate her for what she did, but still, don’t come here and say that fitz is being “hypocritical” and “rude”.

i think its a combo of things, but when she is in self loathing, she fears hurting those she cares about. Fitz is also a bit unreasonable in that it wasnt staying in the same way. it was different - Coulson wasnt director anymore, there were new rules, methods, where a mess up could have blow-back on everyone. Leaving wasnt just 'being selfish', but was indeed what she needed. Plus she d found before that leaving is when she was able to have the time to improve or restablize.

@@eurydice5589 he is being a bit unreasonable in yelling at her. He doesnt want to focus on how much things have changed. Remember Coulson isnt the director at the moment. so its not the same team support. And the team 'help' hasnt always been what was needed. Its part of Fitz's character that someone leaving is the worse thing they can do. He was the same way when Simmons left to do undercover work in S2. and it stems from his father issues.

@@romulansith actually the thing is that fitz had already been betrayed by ward whom he considered his brother, in season 2 he said that the most worst thing that ward had done was breaking the family and then also he thought that Jemma left him because he had hypoxia. Again in season 3 he was totally disturbed as Jemma was taken away by the monolith thus again separating the team. He yelled at her because for him his family member separated again, he at this point just couldn't accept all the changes, for him it was not okay that daisy left them and didn't share her problem with them, for fitz the shield team was the only thing that he could call home just like daisy.

He still designed plenty of things while he was looking for Jemma. You think those containment modules designed themselves? Nope. Pretty sure that was Fitz. Those hands that Coulson had before he got his current model? Also Fitz. No, they weren't great, but they were a damn sight better than nothing. Plus, let's not forget the big one: Zephyr One. It was designed by Fitz while Jemma was missing, and that was obviously a huge project. Fitz didn't leave SHIELD, he didn't abandon them. Meg Cather there is an entire science team at shield that most likely designed the containment pods. And daisy wasn't off sitting in a bar somewhere drinking herself to death. She was working to take down the watch dogs. She poured all her grief and all her self hatred into doing good for the people she thinks she let down because of what she was essentially drugged into last season by hive. All i'm saying is each and every character has dealt with grief differently on this show. Why he felt the need to demonize Daisy when she is dealing with it the only way she knows how is beyond me. The saddest thing about this scene is it validates all the self hatred daisy has for herself. The feeling of hurting her team, the feeling of being a liability or a danger. @@Thehardtruth69 Yes, but what Fitz was doing in Season 3 was trying to rescue Jemma. What Daisy was doing was taking down bad people all the while hoping someone would kill her. She justified it in her head by telling herself that she was keeping them safe by doing this, which she wasn't. Daisy went through a lot, definitely more than what Fitz went through. Fitz suffered a brain injury, then Jemma got sucked up into the monolith and Fitz acted extremely recklessly to try to save her. Daisy got brainwashed and was forced to do terrible things like killing Malick, betraying SHIELD, doing what she did to James, kidnapping Radcliffe, almost killing Mack, being one of the reasons so many people got turned into Alpha Primitives. And then Lincoln died which she of course blamed herself for and it didn't help that during that she was dealing with intense withdraw symptoms that basically exaggerated all the feelings she was having. But see that's why Daisy all the more needed to stay with SHIELD so she would have her friends and family be there to comfort her. Fitz never left SHIELD and had people work with him and be there for him (Specifically Mack, Daisy, and Bobbi). Daisy didn't let herself have that even though everyone was offering it to her.
@Thehardtruth695 жыл бұрын
@@Icybubba I can't argue with you especially since I agree with almost everything you said especially Daisy having had it worse than Fitz up until this point. One thing I will disagree with is that the team's love and comfort can only support them to a certain point. Jemma wasn't able to take care of Fitz during his recovery between S1 and S2. Fitz still went off the deep end 3x01 despite Bobbi and Coulson comforting him- he only stopped overreacting when he found another lead to another theory. Likewise- we can't be sure that Daisy staying with the team would have helped her deal with her grief or fear. All her life, she was scared of gaining a home and losing it. "Hoping for something and losing it hurts more than not wanting anything." 1x03 I think. And she also lamented to her mom that Shield was a family to her until they weren't 2x16. So when her fear became reality, it's fair for her to take a break or complete leave of the team. Her fear is no longer just a worst possible outcome, it's appears to be an inevitability. She's an adult and has no obligation to stay where she doesn't want to even if others think it's a better environment for her- which is why I like the way Mack tried to convince her to come back and hated Fitz's unwarranted outburst.

Still, I wonder if it would have been better if she left S.H.I.E.L.D. and became an independent street hero like Ghost Rider or like Daredevil or Jessica Jones.
