I had a power mechanics teacher Mr. Murphy in highschool and a woodshop teacher Mr Scott. I'm 51 now and now and again I run into Mr Murphy and show him off and tell a story about one of his classes. Both teachers said the same thing, to have a student remember you and what you taught them 20-30 years later or more made the whole shitty low paying thing worth it. Fritz I would have hung onto your every word.

Fantastic to watch, Fitzee mate! This is the first video of yours that I have seen and I am about to go look through your back catalogue for more. I was a bit concerned when you cut the bigger-than-the-hole panel, that you were just going to weld it over the rusty metal and leave it there, but no - you showed me an easy way to get a perfect butt-joint without all the faffing around with templates and ending up needing to plug-weld where it was too short or trim where too long or (at worst) start all over again. Logical, straight forward and shown by a master tradesman who appears genuinely interested in helping people to learn. I'd fly to wherever you are (when Covid allows 😉 ) if I knew you were going to do a week-long coaching session on fabrication. This is a skill that all car blokes should learn so they can stop using filler to correct their ineptitude with a welding unit......and someone having to correct their repairs again in a year or so down the track! Good on ya, Fitzee! ...and many thanks from a bloke (and his classic cars) here in New Zealand.
