We travel to places of local interest, and we visit places that were once thriving communities but are not thriving so much now. We go to historical places, towns, and state parks.

Fitzgerald's a friendly little town. I retired down in sw Florida and moved here in March of 2019. Too many people in Florida for me, I'm a small town guy. Southern hospitality is alive and well in Fitzgerald. I enjoyed the history lesson. A couple of places of interest, the Blue Gray museum, located behind Wells Fargo (which is now gone). Also, the Jefferson Davis memorial and museum, located on Jeff Davis park rd. in Irwinville, about 10 miles south. Its where Jefferson Davis was captured, free to tour the grounds, lot's of historical markers, and small fee to see the museum. I enjoyed your video!👍

We enjoyed Fitzgerald. I have some memories of coaching against the high school softball team, and a teacher friend of mine who is also retired lives there now. Thanks for watching.
