Ooh, I will definitely have to check out Brickmakers! For Graywolf poetry, I would most recommend Pilgrim Bell by Kaveh Akbar, but very excited to hear your picks. Also, there was a small press book fair in my city recently, and I thought of you because Dorothy was there! (As well as so many other great publishers, like Split Lip and Europa. Sean Enfield was doing signings of Holy American Burnout but I missed it 😢). I was SO awed by the physical quality and feel of Dorothy’s books. I just love the square shape, the feel of the paper, how they are made. I could have bought so many, but they were only taking cash, so I had to limit myself to one: A Horse at Night by Amina Cain. Super excited to dig in!

YES to Kaveh Akbar! I just bought Graywolf's "Raised By Wolves" which is 50 poems by 50 graywolf poets, and there was an excerpt from Pilgrim Bell. After I read it, I thought, I must buy this! And now with your endorsement, I think I will do it sooner rather than later! I have A Horse at Night, too! I bought it maybe a few months ago but haven't been able to read it yet. I'm eager to get to it! That book fair sounds amazing!

My favorite Graywolf book cannot be done there are so many. Percival Everette by Virgil Russel, first introduced me to Percival Everett. A Letter to A Future Lover by Ander Monson was right up my alley The Discomfort of Evening by Lucas Rijneveld TR Michele Hutchinson still haunts me and future favorites ( not read yet) Barn 8 Deb Olin Unferth The Box Mandy Suzanne Wong . Tree Doctor which I Need To order PS Wayetu Moore Memoir is good also
